There are many names for it, but what is most commonly called Salvia extract , or by its proper name salvia divinorum, is a legal phsycoactive sage that has been used in shamanic cultures for centuries. The strength of diviner's sage can vary geatly, depending on the type of Crushed salvia divinorum leaves, and how you are ingesting them. Infused Salvia extract has been smoked or eaten, as well as plain leaves of the salvia divinorum plant.
It is also quite easy to grow sage by yourself, as this unassuming sage is rather small, so of repeated use, it would be adviseable to buy salvia seeds and only small amounts of leaves are needed, and salvia divinorum's effects, when consumed orrally, and not smoken, can be increased with the use of an MAOI, but much caution is needed with this method, as with all chemicals. Most importantly, Salvia & extract is not illegal, and its legal to buy salvia extract, so its presence should not be of concern even if testing is possible.
Buying the extract of s. divinorum leaves can be very rewarding to the experienced user. You can buy s. divinorum extract from many of the various entheogen vendors on the web, salvia extract is much stronger than buying regular leaves. Newer users who buy salvia extract can be surprised by its effects, so make sure that when you are buying that you buy extract that is of the correct strength and strength, buying extract of salvia that is too strong can result in an unpleasant experience. You can generally buy extract in various levels of strength that is measured by the multiples of strength above plain, non extracted or extraction based leaves or product. These enhanced and infused extracts of salvia?s leaves are good to buy and can result in powerful results.
Use your voice and the internet to educate and inform when you want to buy salvia divinorum extract. Many websites were inspired by the outrageous actions of the government as we realized that we can't be afraid to act against, and to spread the word about what we believe in. If we sit around doing nothing; the government automatically wins. Bullied into non-action and thinking that we are powerless is what they dream of.
For example: If you think one person can't affect a change, just imagine what the world would be like if there were no opposition whatsoever to the failed Drug War or any of the policies and laws you disagreed with. The government is doing what they can in face of the opposition, who makes their job increasingly difficult.
The psychoactive properties in Salvia extract come from the chemical Salvinorin A (C23H28O8), which is the most strong naturally occurring psychedelic know to man. DO NOT use
The greenhouse and growth-chamber experiments indicated that S. divinorum is an obligate short-day plant. Plant height is a minor factor in flower development, as several (growth chamber) specimens were less than 0.5 m tall when they flowered. Pollination experiments showed that the mint is probably self-sterile, but it remains to be demonstrated that S. divinorum will set viable seed.
Small Plants
From the foothills of the Sierra Mazatec Mountains in Oaxeca Mexico, the leaves are ready for shipment immediately. Taken from our own organic growing reserve, where we grow and nurture the sacred sage exclusively for strength, these leaves have been tested by several labs to have extremely high Salvinorin A content. Shipping daily, these salvia leaves have been very well dried and often come weighing more than what is ordered.
from misc.health.alternativeTo test for the hallucinogenic activity of S. divinorium in human beings, we drank the infusion of the leaves and waited for the effects to occur. Within 30 min we began to see visions, which lasted for several hours. This allowed rapid confirmation of the mint's psychotropic activity. But more interesting from a therapeutic standpoint are the other properties attributed to the plant; properties that are much more difficult to assess. Are these concepts that are translatable into our western (orthodox) healing theory, or is salvia divinorum being used as a magical treatment (for a placebo effect)? Extended observations in the field by an acute observer would undoubtedly be more fruitful than immediate attempts to isolate compounds responsible for these purported activities.
Salvia divinorum produces unique effects that are very hard to accurately describe by comparing them to the effects produced by other psychoactive plants or drugs. The most imporant psychoactive chemical in Salvia divinorum extract is salvinorin A, but there may be other less important phsyco-active chemicals that affect its action. Effects vary, based on dose and method of ingestion. Effects range from very light, at lower doses, to overwhelmingly strong at higher doses. While crushed salvia leaves' effects are usually grouped with other visionary-class psychoactives such as smoked DMT, its effects are so radically different that such comparisons can often just lead to misunderstandings
As a result, I think Salvia extract is still legal to buy because someone, somewhere realizes what massive repercussions lie waiting if a hasty move were made in a system already feeling the weight of its own failed policies. But, I also think that it partly because many of us believe in the power of the spirit to change the dream.
There are some modern psychonauts who call it "mint" or "sadi" (short for Salvia divinorum). However, most commonly it is simply referred to by its genus name, "Salvia" divinorum Traditional names for the plant include "ska Pastora" (Shepherdess" herb), "ska Mar? Pastora" (Mary Shepherdess" herb), "hojas de la Pastora" (leaves of the Shepherdess) , "hojas de Mar? Pastora" (leaves of Mary Shepherdess), "hierba Mar?" (Mary's plant), "yerba de Mar?" (herb of Mary), and "la hembra" (the female). R. Gordon Wasson proposed that S. divinorum might represent the ancient Aztec herb pipiltzintzintli ("most noble little plant").
Salvia. Divinorium contains a chemical named salvinorin A. Salvinorin A is the most powerful naturally occurring vision inhancer. Salvinorin A is a molecule that contains only carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms. In reality it is actually a neoclerodane diterpenoid. Salvinorin A is a unique sight inducing catalyst, of great strength. It is NOT an cheaper version of another substance.
"Our Salvia divinorium plants come established and ready for vigorous growth! Salvia Plants are typically 4-8 inches tall and this Hoffman & Wasson strain is shorter and slightly hardier than the Blosser, but reportedly the leaves are somewhat more bitter."
Salvia Divinorium is a perenial herb in the mint family native to certain areas of the Sierra Mazateca region of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is one of 500 species of Sage in the New World is in similar to the sage plant. The plant grows in big groupings to well over 3 feet in height. It"s big green leaves, hollow square stems and flowers are it's characteristic features. Salvia Divinorum is one of several vision-inducing growing salvia plants employed by the Mazatec Indians buy salvia Extract is fast becoming the most popular and highly prized source of Salvinorin A, the active chemical in sage leaves. Regular divinorum leaves infused with an extrct esscense Salvinorin extraction produce a much more powerful effect when smoked than normal, unextracted, s. divinorum leaves. We will trace salvia extract's history from the plant's modern day "discovery" to the salvia extractions you buy at your favorite website or headshop, and will include a little information on how to make salvia extract. In 2002, the US Congress considered placing Salvia divinorum extract into Schedule I of the federal Controlled Substances Act. (See CCLE archive on HR 5607). CCLE sent key members of the US Congress our report on Salvia divinorum extract and its active principle, along with letters from an array of scientists who expressed concern that scheduling s. divinorum would negatively impact important research on the plant. HR 5607 failed to pass before Congress adjourned at the end of 2002.
In 2003, two bills introduced in Oregon also failed to pass. The CCLE sent our Salvia divinorium extract report to all members of the Oregon Judiciary Committee. Both bill's died in that committee upon adjournment.
Salvia extract is normally sold by weight labeled with a percentage that reflects the concentration of the salvia extracts blended on the leaves in the product. A common range of buy salvia extract percentages includes 2x, 5x, 6x, 10, 15, 20x. Each of the percentage levels will have an increasingly powerful effect as the percentage of concentration in the salvia extract rises. The most strong extract that I have read about so far is 40%, it is hard to agree with the supposed fact that any method of extraction and re-infusion resulted in an extracted product that is much more strong than 40%.Historically, S. officinalis has always been a very important addition to the medicinal arsenal. The Chinese valued it above their tea for its healing properties. Sage tea was then and still is primarily used as a gargle for sore throat and as an aid to digestion.mountainvalleygrowers.com article More info While Divinorum Extract is a rather new invention, Diviner's sage use is not. It was first recorded in the sierra Madres mountain range in Oaxaca Mexico. Used by the native Mazatec.s as both a medicinal and spiritual plant and teacher. Although there are over nine hundred different species of slavia (meaning .sage... a member of the mint family of plants however, the similarities diviner's sage shows to the other mints are in the flowering bodies only, the rest of the plant, including the psychoactive leaves are closer visually and botanically to the coleus species), S. Divinorum.s leaves contains a unique chemical known as Salvinorin A. This is believed to be the active chemical in Diviner's Sage and Divinorum extraction. The effects of which are a hallucinogenic trance that lasts up to 90 minutes.Diviner's Sage is a member of the mint family that Normally extracts are available in varing degrees of power, each labled with a number of times stronger the extraction is compared to normall leaves. Some extractions are 10x, 20x or even 40x this means that using the s divinorum extract is 10, 20 or 40 times more powerful than smoking regular, un-fortified leaves. This means that even the most experienced users should be careful as extracts are much more strong than nature even intended. contains over 900 different sub species of sage. While many of the plants in the sage family have marvelous healing and cleansing properties, only Salvia extract Divinorum is known to have the reality expanding and perception altering powers that many spiritual journeymen (and women) seek.
Hojo's de pastora is a wondrous and magical herb that has grown in popularity in recent years. Used by Shaman and other members of the Mazatec Indians for telepathic and clairvoyant experiences, this herb was first brought to the attention of the Western world in the fall of 1962. This happened on an expedition to Oaxaca, Mexico by R. Gordon Wasson and Albert Hofmann, ethnobotanists with an interest in Shamanic visionary plants.
The primary active dissociative psychoactive chemical is known as Salvinorin-A, but Salvia contains other diterpenes, Salvinorins B-F and Divinatorins A-C. Salvinorin A is the most strong naturally-occurring psychoactive chemical compound known, active at 100—Ÿ sublingually.[1] Recent research has shown that Salvinorin A is a selective agonist of the kappa opioid receptors, a receptor class bigly ignored by other known psychoactive compounds1,2, although several kappa-agonist drugs are used in the medical field. It is unknown at this time whether the powerful effects of S. divinorum can be attributed in whole (or even in part) to kappa agonism.
There's a new way teenagers are getting high, and so far, it's perfectly legal. An herb called salvia divinorum, a type of sage from Mexico, can cause hallucinations when smoked or chewed. Salvia leaves gave Peter Olsen a high unlike anything he's experienced before. ?It made me feel like I was floating,? Olsen said, ?and my arms looked like they were far away when I looked at them. It was weird." Olsen said he's tried salvia a few times. So have about a dozen of his friends at RIT because they can. It is legal, after all.
Sage is now also being examined closely for the value of the natural estrogens it contains and the possibility that it may help with some symptoms of menopause, hot flashes in particular. There are many powerful active constituents in sage some of which have been found to be antioxidant.Salvia divinorum has only been found growing salvia divinorum wild in one place, Oaxaca, Mexico and it is debatable weather or not the plant is really indigenous to the region, or merely the product of human selected breeding, which is called a cultigen. It is a rare drug in that it is a reasonably well known intoxicant, but is not illegal in most countries in the world. Only Denmark and Australia have passed laws banning s. divinorum, and salvia is totally legal in the United States. It is illegal to import salvia to Finland, but legal to posses and grow inside the country.
Salvias extract is currently a very popular way to smoke diviner's sage. because it allows divinorum users to ingest more salvinorin in each hit they take. A common problem among first time smokers is that they fail to get a full taste of the effects because they cannot take big enough hits of plain leaves, this is where extrations make come in, they make it easy for even the most novice smoker to ingest enough of the active chemicals in one or two decent sized tokes. The most popular form ofsalvia extract
is a product comprised of raw salvia leaves infused with extracted salvinorin from other salvia leaves. The solvent used to isolate the active chemical in s divinorum, is usually an alcohol-based chemical, such as grain alcohol. This is a good solvent that readily evaporates and is non-toxic anyways, so that if some solvent is left in the product it will not be harmful to users of the extraction. Remember to check and make sure your extractor is using on grain alchol as a solvent in making his infusions. Other, more powerful, solvents could be used but without professional chemists and procedures there remains a risk of contaminating the end product with the possibly poisonous chemicals. Ethanol is another safe and effective solvent that is often used for high quality s. divinorum extracts. Salvia extracting can be a rewarding proccess if you are willing to invest the time and pantience to grow a good crop and extract it.According to The Salvia Divimorum Grower's Guide, Salvia divinorum will flower if a photoperiod of 10 hours or less out of 24 is maintained (any light in the dark period will cause immediate cessation of flowering). This can be taken advantage of for maintaining vegetative growth by ensuring your plants receive 12 or more hours of light per day, up to a maximum of 18 hours in 24. Salvia divinorum is happy when grown under natural or fluorescent lights. Although expensive lighting equipment can be purchased for indoor growing, this is not necessary for the novice or average grower. If growing in natural light, do not grow in direct hot sunlight. Even if you have acclimatised your plants to accept hot and dry conditions, direct hot sunlight will cause stunted, warped leaf growth. If growing under fluorecsent light, hang lights about 30cm above the plants. Light can be saved and reused by placing reflective objects around the plants to reflect the light back, such as polystyrene or alluminium foil. Reflectors can also be placed above the lights to reflect back otherwise wasted light, please bear in mind any strongial dangers from covering the top of your lights.
The extracted chemicals have since been used to coat the dried leaves with a fortified infusion resulting in a far more strong substance the popularity of which has been growing greatly in recent years. Purchase, price, discount, shop, on sale, for sale, mall. The resulting substance, once the extraction is dried, looks like crushed-up, darker than normal diviner's sage leaves. The effect, when smoking, is more concentrated and therefore requires less inhales on the rather offensive tasting extract smoke divinorum. This has lowered the bar for new smokers to experience the peak effects without having to choke down too much of the noxious smoke diviner's sage. The leaves can be infused with any amount of extracted salvinorin so extract is normally available in many strengths, the most strong of these, 40% extract has extremely strong effects that have drawn many adventurers to sage extract that would not regularly enjoy the plant because of its status as an alternative and less powerful entheogen. There has been a recent interest among young adults and adolescents to re discover the ethnobotanical plants that can induce some changes in perception, hallucinations, or other psychologically-induced changes. Since Saliva d, or any of its active ingredients are not specifically listed in the Controlled Substances Act, some on-line botanical companies and drug promotional sites have advertised S. divinorum a legal alternative to other plant hallucinogens like mescaline. The plant material is smoked for the induction of "mystical" or hallucinogenic experiences.
Four hundred milligrams of Salvia divinorum extract leaf produces quite a lot of smoke, and it requires several big inhalations to consume it all. Because salvinorin A is rapidly metabolized in the body, it is essential that the full dose be ingested within a two to three minute period. It is also essential that the smoke is absorbed as efficiently as possible, otherwise much of it will be wasted. People vary in their ability to inhale and retain big amounts of smoke. Some people have no trouble obtaining strong effects from ordinary, non-enhanced leaves; others find it very difficult.
Salvia divinorum (also known as diviner's sage, ska maria pastora or simply salvia) is a psychoactive plant, a member of the sage genus and the Lamiaceae (mint) family. The plant is grown by the Mazatec indigenous people of the Oaxaca mountains of southern Mexico in isolated, moist and secret plots. It has been used by their shamans for centuries for healing during spirit journeys. It is a pure cultivar that does not seem to occur in the wild anywhere in the world.
Wasson did not succeed on a number of attempts to bring back enough useable plant material for the botanists Epling and Jativa to correctly analyze and archive and grow. When he finally did not fail he also managed to bring back a live specimen that has become the most common strain of salvia divinorum available for sale in modern times, it is called the "Hoffman-Wasson" strain. Epling and Jativa labeled the new plant as a member of the sage family and it was studied by a number of the preeminent psychonauts of the day. However no understanding to the plants psychotropic effects were reached before salvia extract was first created in 1982 when a substance called Salvinorin 1 was extracted from the salvia plant by Alfredo Ortega. In 1984 a group of scientists extracted what they called to as Salvinorin A and Salvinorin B the chemicals giving salvia its hallucinogenic properties. This group included L.J. Valdes who went on to be one of the more prolific explorer/authors of the Salvia space.I went to my local florist the other day to buy Salvia divinorumafter reading an article about how it could make a person trip if they were to smoke it. Now being the type of person I am this interested me very much since smoking and buying divinorum is completely legal and I wouldn?t have to deal with the usual ?heat?. So as I walked into the florist with the intention to buy salvia divinorum I saw a beautiful blond chick with round tits and a tight ass wearing a white crop top. I literally tripped over my own feet and fell into her. After we got to talking I had completely forgot that I had come here to buy divinorum and instead asked her out to dinner.
Dry leaves are typically smoked in a pipe. Although some users may prefer use of a hookah or a bong to cool the smoke, the active principles are liable to condense and therefore substantially reduce strength in this case. The vaporisation temperature required to release the salvinorin-A from the plant material is quite high and requires an intense direct flame, typically from a butane torch lighter. Some people choose to use a vaporizer, which can significantly lower the amount of plant matter required for effects, however the temperatures required are quite a bit higher (around 230åm) than that produced by apparatus designed for vaporizing tobacco or cannabis.
The strength of salvia divinorum extract depends on two factors, the strength of the extracted salvinorin and the strength of the divinorum leaves usedwhile making the salvia extract. If high quality leaves are infused with a strong distillation of the active chemical in sage, the resulting product will be of higher quality. On the other hand if lesser quality salvia divinorum leaf maerial is used, and the extracted salvinorin A is not very powerful, the divinorum extract will notresult in as strong of an effect. Our conversation was dry and long but as we got into talking about drugs she told me that she had bought and smoked s. divinorum and the her trip was very intense as soon as she had exhaled it she felt very heavy she said the area around her eyes and hand felt cold and wet and her skin felt like it was crawling she also said it was unimaginably difficult to speak. The visuals were apparently amazing as she told me how the wall in front her started to ripple like some one had thrown a big stone into the middle of a lake. Objects seemed far away like she was detached from reality or rather above reality she said she could feel every part of her body with amazing intensity including her inner organs. After hearing such a story I couldn?t wait to go out and buy some salvia divinorum, but it would have to wait till tomorrow.
The effect of divinorum on the smoker is usually a short lived one, reactions generally subside within the hour, if not considerably less. Effects include auditory and visual hallucinations at higher dose or s. divinorum extract concentration level, and more mild, out of body experiences and general euphoria at lower amounts. The out of body expierinces described above ussually are paired with both the dissacioative nature of being out of your body but also, interestingly enough, a hieghtened body awareness and tacticle sensitivity. Perhaps this increased awareness of your body is why s. divinorum was used by shamans as a healing plant.

The salvia experience is quite different from that of most other hallucinogenic drugs and may be overwhelming, even with the correct set and setting.
There are two types of salvia divinorum extracts commonly available on the internet, standardized and non-standardized extract. The only difference in these two are in the price and the unifor nature of the prduct, the non-standardized extract is normally cheaper but has a tendency to be more widely diferentiated in its strength, because of the extract used to infuse the leaves. The standardized salvia extract is made in a more controlled and expensive process and will have a consistent level of salvinorn and hence strength. Salvia Divinorum was unknown in the United States before anthropologist/researcher R. Gordon Wasson found it while doing research on the hallucinogenic fungi in the religious culture of the Indians. In 1953 the Indians described salvia as a less desirable alternative, however they did use salvia as a alternative when there were no mushrooms r anything else to use, to be found. Wasson took samples of this plant for research and identification. Although this was the first time our botanists had seen the plant it had existed in Oaxaca Mexico for centuries. For the most part, the fate of the species lies with a very small number of clone plants. Of these few clones, there are only two that are in any kind of public circulation; the Wasson/Hofmann strain, and the Blosser ("Palatable") strain. The stems of Salvia divinorum are not very strong, when the plant gets taller than about one meter tall it will fall over if not given support. Sometimes the stem will break off, but usually it will just bend over and if the bent over stem is in good contact with moist soil it will quickly root and eventually send up new stems from the new location. This is the main way that the plant spreads in the wild since it almost never produces viable seed. The former is a strain discovered by those whose name the plant bears, when on a visit to the Mazatecs. The latter is the same case, in regards to name, and was discovered in Oaxaca; it is called "Palatable" as well, as it is said to have more palatable leaves when ingested orally than those of the Wasson/Hofmann strain, though other reports state that there is little difference between the taste of the plants. Other varieties are also grown, including the Luna strain which is a strange offshoot of the Hofmann/Wasson line. A few other strains exist, but they are mostly quite similar, in strength, effect, and growth.
