Screenshot PunJab is an HTTP Jabber client interface. It is an HTTP server with multiple interfaces that allows persistent client connections to a Jabber server. It can be used for many things, but its main purpose is to allow stateless applications (i.e. the Web) a stateful connection to Jabber.
Changes:
SSL support for the HTTP server has been added. An error is now returned when the Jabber server is invalid. Other various small bugs have been fixed.

UPnP, Web services, and Rendezvous 05/07/2004 11:59 AM
A few of us InfoWorlders spoke yesterday with one of Microsoft's Indigo architects, John Shewchuk. In the course of our conversation, Shewchuk mentioned the recent WinHEC announcement about device support for Web services protocols, reported in InfoWorld on May 5:
Microsoft Corp., Intel Corp., Lexmark International Inc. and Ricoh Co. Ltd. on Tuesday detailed new Web services technology designed to make it easier for users to connect devices such as printers, digital cameras and digital music players over a network. The companies at Microsoft's Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) officially announced a Devices Profile for Web services, which describes how devices should use Web services protocols. The announcement builds on WS-Discovery, a Web services specification that Microsoft, Intel, Canon Inc. and BEA Systems Inc. introduced in February. WS-Discovery describes a way for devices to find and connect to Web services. [ InfoWorld.com: Web services find way to devices]
The "Devices Profile" will be proposed to the UPnP (universal plug and play1) as the basis of the UPnP 2.0 Device Architecture. ...

"I was reading about your upcoming adventure with considerable envy when I realized i'd seen something similar in june or so and sure enough, a Hungarian online mag has a first-person account of such a flight right here in budapest. a 20-year old soviet-built Antonov 2 plane is used for the stunt, apparently flown by one of hungary's top fighter pilots (this part is not clear). it's all in hungarian but check out the pictures. it's groovy."

Update: Péter Kelemen says, "Well, the pilot is Gyula VÁRI (former squadron leader), the article says nothing about him being one of Hungary's top fighter pilot. But he is the President of the Hungarian Aeronautical Association. (Link). The flight itself is about 20 minutes in 1000-3000m altitude while having 10-12 weightlessness-sessions of 7-10 sec each. G changes between 0-3 during the flight."
