Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas on Sunday, Apple
Computer Inc. on Monday announced upgrades to its entire line of
portable computing products. Apple's pro PowerBook models have been
bumped to a top speed of 1.5GHz, while the consumer iBook now reaches
speeds of 1.2GHz.

04/19/2004 08:28 AMAfter a floury of announcements yesterday, Apple has today announced
updates for both the PowerBook and iBook product lines. PowerBook's
now have speeds of up to 1.5GHz G4, up to a 80GB hard drive, and a 4x
Superdrive. iBook's will make it to 1.2GHz G4 with an optional
Superdrive.
You can get the new 12" and 15" PowerBooks now, and the 17" starting
next month. All new iBooks are available immediately.

combinations of finger gestures and hand movements. The company's
latest product is the
MacNTouch
Gesture Keyboard, which was announced on Tuesday. It's aimed at

onward.

I hope
what this means is that Apple, in addition to Keynote, has now a word
processing and a spreadsheet application. And AppleWorks X is a suite
consisting of all these applications, plus, perhaps with a version of
FileMaker Pro.
And, hopefully, like the current
AppleWorks/ClarisWorks, the entire suite is also available for
Windows.
