Founder Seyed Razavi says: Dear BlogShares players, I am sorry to announce that BlogShares will not be reopening after the current technical difficulties are resolved. Currently, the database server is dead and looks to be for the next few days. The latest system crash has highlighted to me that deliverying a fun, useful service for the BlogShares community requires an active operator and developer. As most of you are no doubt aware I've been neither for the past couple of months. That has led to a decline of quality service, new features and ultimately income for the site and it looked likely that there wouldn't be enough to pay for next month's hosting.Link Dude, Where's my Backlinks?Dude, Where's my Backlinks? 12/19/2004 03:08 PM "...recently cancelled a ROS text link ad that provided over 600,000 links, hoping that it would reverse the sagging trend of google SERPs. Dude, You're Getting Stuck With SpywareDude, You're Getting Stuck With Spyware 12/03/2003 01:48 AM Submitted by John and also seen on Slashdot is the fairly insane news that Dell has told its tech support staff not to tell people about spyware removal products like Spybot Search & Destroy or Adaware - even if it's clear that the problems they're experiencing with their Dell machines are due to resource hogging spyware. Dell tech support has been told they're not even allowed to point the user towards potentially helpful resources on how to remove spyware. Dell's reasoning for this is hard to comprehend, but appears to be that removing spyware may go against some license agreements. Isn't that for the end-user who owns the computer to figure out on their own? Besides, if that's really what's causing the problem on the machine, isn't it the responsibility of Dell's tech support to suggest the proper solution? There's also an open letter to Dell asking them to reconsider their position on this matter. tdbSQL dude beta 0.3tdbSQL dude beta 0.3 09/23/2004 11:07 AM A Web frontend to administrate tdbSQL.
