08/21/2004 03:15 AMThanks <B>annon</b>
Dear Beta testers,
By the end of August 2004, we will have completed the Windows Update
(WU) v5 Site Beta testing project. It is now rolling out to all
Windows XP users. This is a major milestone and the culmination of
more than a year of hard work. This release has been challenging for
everyone, but we did it! All of you should feel extremely proud of
your involvement in this project. WU v5 is the best Windows Update
release ever!
The impact of your work is tremendous! The WU v5 site will have
millions of clients worldwide using the service to stay secure and
up-to-date on Windows platforms. Thank you very much for being a part
of this release. This WU v5 Site Beta project has ended, but the beta
program will continue. We will modify the program name soon; this will
not affect your beta status. We will concentrate on the beta content
testing and occasional site fix testing, in addition to new site
releases. Again, we appreciate all your effort, time, and hard work
spent helping Microsoft and the WU teams succeed and bring the best
quality products possible to our millions of consumers!
With great admiration,
Windows Update Beta

Quote of the month
------------------
I only have one week of Leo experience but I already know it will be
my default
IDE/project manager. I have seen several old threads on c.l.python
where people
complain about the lack of a project manager for the free/standard
Python IDE's
like Idle. Leo clearly solves that problem and in a way that
commercial tools
can't touch -- Marshall Parsons
What is Leo?
------------
- A programmer's editor, an outlining editor and a flexible browser.
- A literate programming tool, compatible with noweb and CWEB.
- A data organizer and project manager. Leo provides multiple views
of projects within a single outline.
- Fully scriptable using Python. Leo saves its files in XML format.
- Portable. leo.py is 100% pure Python.
- Open Software, distributed under the Python License.

Submission by Marcin Manek
The D.Net CMS is a php/MySQL driven CMS created with usability in
mind, and is intended primarily for users desiring a 'Blog+' without
the hassle of learning cryptic commands. It provides a web-based
WYSIWYG interface with most common modules already implemented, and
also supports custom extensions.
You can download it from sourceforge, try out the full demo, or drop
by my homepage to view a few of the sample themes (each one of my
pages is a different theme).
I am seeking feedback and suggestions. Thanks for any help!
