Miller also became belligerent during the screening, Transportation Security Administration officers told police. One TSA employee also told police that Miller had a note inside a magazine in his bag with an expletive, and told a TSA employee "Oh yeah, it's for you" when asked who the note was directed at. "This person exposed themself in a public area, a clear violation of the law, and we needed to take some action on that, otherwise everybody would be dropping their pants," Christenson said.

The SafeTurn is a wrist-mounted LED light for bicyclers that flashes when it senses the rider's outstretched hand. I can't quite determine if it has a directional blink, changing depending on the angle of the cycler's arm, but it would certainly make sense that it would. You can find out for yourself in February, when the patent-pending Australian invention will be released.

KKBSwitch version 1.4.3 has been released. KKBSwitch is a KDE panel applet which indicates the active keyboard layout (language). It is useful in conjunction with X Servers with the XKeyboard extension which have been configured to have more than one keyboard group. This maintenance release adds Czech translation contributed by Michal Bukovsky and Bulgarian translation contributed by Petko Yotov. Also the algorithm for guessing layout icons was improved a little and now must guess the correct icon in more situations. Here’s something I don’t understand: why are sort indicators in OS X backwards? Consider this screen shot:



The column is sorted alphabetically, from A down to Z, yet the sort indicator arrow points up instead of down. I would expect it to indicate the direction of the sort, but it indicates the opposite of the sort direction. (Or so it seems to me.)

I’m sure there’s an explanation. But what is it?
