X-Craft: Aluminum Attack Catamaran 02/05/2005 10:17 PM

xcraft1.jpg imageThe US Navy is set to christen an experimental aluminum catamaran dubbed the 'X-Craft,' designed to serve as a test bed for a variety of future coast-hugging combat technology. A multi-purpose ramp lets the X-Craft launch a variety of "manned and unmanned surface and sub-surface vehicles," like inflatable boats and scouting submarine drones. DefenseTech has the details—I say we chip in and make Gizmodo a floating, mobile operation.

Bazaar Revision Control System 1.3.2
(Default branch)
04/19/2005 04:19 AM
The Bazaar Revision Control System is a changeset-oriented revision control system based on Arch that makes it possible to retain previous changes to projects and coordinate development with other developers. Its goal is to speed development of an upwards- compatible version of Arch.
Changes:
This point release corrects two performance regressions from baz 1.2 and a major correctness regression in "update". The "update" operation was using the wrong reference inode signature, resulting in changes not being applied. Ancestry gathering was too greedy, leading to the "status" and "diff" operations taking a very long time to complete. The "get" operation would scan entire versions even when not necessary.

arch revision control system 1.3.1-fix-1
(tla Stable branch)
03/23/2005 05:18 AM
arch is a modern replacement for CVS, specifically designed for the distributed development needs of open source projects. It has uniquely good support for development on branches (especially good merging tools), distributed repositories (every developer can have branches in their own repository), changeset-oriented project management (arch commits changes to multiple files at once), and, of course, file and directory renaming.
Changes:
This release contains internal improvements, bugfixes, and minor feature enhancements. The bundled version of libneon has been replaced by a recent version.

The Bazaar Revision Control System is a changeset-oriented revision control system based on Arch that makes it possible to retain previous changes to projects and coordinate development with other developers. Its goal is to speed development of an upwards- compatible version of Arch.
Changes:
'annotate', 'upgrade' and 'change-archive' commands were added and many performance improvements were made. Comands now work relative to project trees. URL support for commands was implemented. -A is no longer necessary for many commands. 'id' and 'inventory' with 'names tagging' now return IDs consistant with changesets. A debug() function was added for developers. New archive registration management was implemented along with namespace improvements (@ in username for SFTP, spaces for revlib paths, and Debian version numbers).
