Version 7.5 features real-time "on access" scanning for viruses, automatic eUpdate functionality that downloads the latest virus updates, scheduling options for On Demand scans, an updated scan engine and generic detection, which helps the software find and eliminate variations of a virus. Virex 7.5 for Macintosh requires Mac OS X v10.1.3 or higher. McAfee had not updated its Web site with pricing information for the upgrade as MacCentral posted this article.
