Change Text on XP Start Button

Change Text on XP Start Button 05/31/2004 08:29 PM
Via WinXPcentral : “I’ve read a number of articles on the internet about changing the text on the Start button in XP. On more than one occasion I’ve seen references to a five (5) letter limitation when the button is renamed. So, I decided to run a test and see if there really was a five character limit.”

I think it would be appropriate at this time, what with the G4TechTV merger/takeover and resulting shake up and backlash, to remember how it was in its humble beginnings. Noel Green, former operator of the Mac icon supersite, IconPlanet.com, has given me the go ahead to re-release a vintage set of icons depicting the personalities that greeted viewers in the earlier days of tech television--ZDTV.
