Dammit, they're done!Dammit, they're done!Dammit, they're done! 03/06/2004 02:09 AM Or at least mostly done. Objects, that is. Everything I planned to have them do for the next release is done, so... Time to stress-test for the roll out for 0.1.0, and enjoy Parrot's crunchy object-y goodness! Enjoy! And yeah, I know--constructors, destructors, objects that masquerade as other PMC types, AUTOLOAD (or other fallback method providing mechanisms), cross-type inheritance, and multimethod dispatch would all be nice. Hey, you take what you can get, right? :)... This is a GrokNews Entry: (what is grok?)Dammit, they're done!Grok Headline matches for Dammit, they're done!Dammit! Janet! We're at war!Dammit! Janet! Her daughter? Susan Sarandon. Dammit to hellDammit to hell 01/04/2004 10:51 PM I don't know if LTS was exactly better or worse today...it was actually pretty funny what was going on and... Test Dammit!Test Dammit! 12/24/2004 12:45 PM Lauren wanted to visit her Mum on the farm for a few days before Christmas. The world is well into its pre-Christmas slowdown and I’m coding away on Zeppelin these days, which doesn’t require much Net access, so I said OK. So I’m sitting in front of NetBeans except when I’m out pushing the kid’s sled down the hill or visiting with the cows. Zeppelin, like most software, has lots of layers, and I haven’t fiddled with the bottom-layer APIs for a while. Except for I did, added this trivial little method that Couldn’t Possibly Go Wrong, but (arrrrgh) no JUnit test to be sure. Which cost me the best part of a day of debugging a completely incomprehensible application full stop because down at the bottom level there was an args[0] instead of args[1]. To all those who
sat in rooms at one point or another this last couple of years and
listened to me drone on in a superior tone of voice about the extreme
importance and Karmic excellence of unit testing, you are now entitled
to one large snicker in my general direction.vote, dammitvote, dammit 12/19/2004 03:09 PM What are you doing reading this? Get out there and vote! This could be the most important election of... Ride Dammit!Ride Dammit! 05/04/2004 08:59 PM v1.0rc1 Released Dammit, don't tell me I need to be more
