review and feedback. This user guide is meant as an introductory guide
for a user to use a modern personal computer (PC) running the Linux
operating system. The main aim is to provide a self-learning guide on
how to use a modern Linux desktop system. It assumes that the user has
no prior knowledge of Linux or PC usage. The guide currently formatted
for use as printed material, with the acompanying slides to be used by
trainers. The training materials are licensed under the Creative
Commons Attribution License.

While we try fitting everything into Combust, we've been considering
using UML on perl.org to make it easier to host sites or projects
where Other People needs to be able to login with ssh or do other
silly things like that. I spent most of a weekend tampering with it a
while ago and got a Debian system to boot. Yay. Then I setup
networking and the kernel on the host box decided to panic. Oops. So,

Microsoft announced a new version of Services for Unix (SFU), a
collection of tools that help Windows systems to work with
installations based on the Unix operating system and its open-source
derivative, Linux. Microsoft previously charged $99 per client or
server to use SFU. But the new version, 3.5, will be free for any
customer using a current Windows operating system. The software is available for
download from Microsoft's Web site.
