If FlashMeeting 2 isn't the bee's
knees, then I don't know what is. The replay capability, shown on the
right, is actually described separately on the CNM Memo
page, but is part of the same technology family.
Other super-cool features, not yet widely available, include the
ability for me to 'quick-book' just-in-time meetings directly via a
chatbot, handily available on my Jabber buddy list... neato! One-line
command (indeed one-word command) does the trick, and then I've got a
URL I can broadcast to my buddies to join the meeting with one click:
no downloads, no installation, no setup, and way simpler than Breeze-y
stuff, though based on the same underlying technology.
Congrats to Jon Linney and Kevin Quick on Peter Scott's awesome
team!

12/20/2003 01:23 PM Libya disarms. Gaddafi's son, Saif al-Islam, said the Iraq
war had nothing to do with the timing of Libya's negotiations.
"We started the cooperation before even the invasion of
Iraq," he told CNN. But he added: "It's a critical deal for
Libya, because first of all we will get access to defensive weapons
and no sanctions on Libyan arms imports any more. We will get access
to the know-how and technology in sectors which were banned."

Libya Is Gone From The Internet
04/13/2004 02:10 PMThe Register is reporting that all
Li
byan domain names have disappeared from the internet, in what
looks to be some sort of dispute between the company that manages the
.ly domain and IANA, the organization that is just supposed to handle
technical aspects of domain allocation. The article suggests that
ICANN is using IANA to force groups that run certain top level domains
to recognize ICANN's control over the internet. If this is the case,
then it's certainly a misuse of their power. Either way, someone
should be explaining why the entire set of .ly domains no longer
exists.
