President of Video Game Company
Engineers Live HFStival Festival
Broadcast with 68,000 in Attendance
05/31/2004 01:55 PMOn a clear, hot day at RFK stadium in Washington, D.C., celebrated,
Grammy nominated, recording engineer Bill Mueller returned to his
first love – live broadcast engineering. Although president and owner
of Vision Videogames of Towson Maryland, Mueller still manages to
return to his roots by working directly in the live recording industry
several times a year. He is no stranger to the HFStival having
engineered it five times in the last six years. So far, this year’s
additions to Mueller’s extensive rock resume include The Offspring,
Yellowcard, Violent Femmes, New Found Glory, P.O.D., Voodoo Blue, and
O.A.R. His other audio engineering credits include two Tibetan Freedom
Concerts, Earth Day celebrations, Live from the House of Blues and
over one hundred and fifty major artists including Aerosmith, Green
Day, Pearl Jam, Eminem, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Rage Against the Machine, Sheryl Crow, and Puff Daddy. With a 30-year
history in the music industry, Mueller believes in exposing new
musical talent through the video game format. “The video game is the
single strongest vehicle for breaking new music today. If you want
your music heard, you have to get it in front of the audience. Today,
there are millions of music loving people playing games.” [PRWEB May

Actual piracy on rise, response
orthagonal to RIAA's response to
"piracy"`
01/27/2004 07:32 PMActual piracy is on the rise. That is to say, more people are boarding
more ships with more guns and shooting more people and taking more
cargo, all the while uttering more horrible cries of "ARRRRR."
Strangely, the shipping industry's response isn't to keelhaul
passengers who don't tip well on ocean cruises, or to hull random
pleasure boats, or to demand special bow-mounted lasers that vaporize
any ship that gets within a hundred miles.
Around the world, more than 20 sailors are known to have been murdered
by pirates last year.
Seventy are missing, presumed dead.
Other trends are also emerging: ships are now less likely to be
hijacked for their cargo; attackers, possibly from militant groups,
are seizing ships and ransoming their crew.

05/01/2004 09:31 PMAP - Last year, Steve Jobs received a pay package worth nearly $75
million. But the Apple Computer CEO's pay had a catch all but
$1 was in stock that he can't touch until 2006. There's been a big
shift in the way America's top executives are being paid, as
once-ubiquitous stock options are replaced by restricted stock and
other forms of pay.

CEOs Sort Of Discover Ego Surfing
CEOs Sort Of Discover Ego Surfing
12/28/2004 05:52 AMDo CEOs of major companies sit down at their computer, call up Google
and do a little ego surfing? Of course they do... but they mostly
seem unwilling to tell USA Today about it (probably because they
decided to call it the especially corny "CEgO surfing"), meaning that
USA Today had to do it for them. Basically, they
went around and looked up the names of various CEOs to see what they
would see, if they did do the searches themselves. There is, of
course, a mixture of good and bad -- but the article recommends that
CEOs spend a bit of time every once in a while to check out what their
names reveal. The article notes that Ford's CEO refuses to ego surf,
claiming it's "too depressing," which makes you wonder how he would
know that... unless he ego surfed.
