Linux, some commercial Linux vendors have stepped forward to assure
customers that they would protect their interests should the court
find in SCO's favor. While it's still an open question whether anyone
will ever need such indemnification, major vendors Novell,
Hewlett-Packard, and Red Hat have programs in place to protect their
customers.

08/04/2004 01:26 PMLINUXWORLD -- The main theme of this show ought to be, "We now offer

press releases with all-caps headlines -- are proprietary software
vendors, and most of their products are utilities of some sort aimed
at enterprise users, not at consumer-level desktop users.

US Army War College Report: Iraq War
Unnecessary
01/17/2004 10:48 PMThe Army War College has published a report, which strongly
criticises the Bush administration's Global War on Terror (GWOT), and
especially the invasion and occupation of Iraq. "Bounding the Global
War on Terrorism" (PDF) notes that the original purpose of the GWOT
has grown from a search for justice for the thousands of Americans
lost in the 9.11 attacks, in to something far too ambitious, and
completely unrealistic. According to the report, the invasion of
Iraq was unnecessary, and a strategic error.
