Tulip E-Go, "Lifestyle" Laptop

Tulip E-Go, "Lifestyle" Laptop 03/19/2005 02:45 AM

tulip_ego.jpg imageWe know jack crap about these specification-wise, but a company called "Tulip Distribution" has announced the world's first "lifestyle" notebook called the "Tulip E-Go." When I received the e-mail regarding this announcement, I was rather inquisitive as to exactly what "lifestyle" meant for notebooks. So I opened the website, and what did I find? A picture of a woman holding a notebook with a fancy round case and stylish design. They look sort of like the old iBook oysters, except they've covered the fruit shells in leather.

Tulip Release Two Players Under
Commodore Brand: e-Vic and m-Pet
06/30/2004 12:37 PM

mpet_evic.jpg imageSquandering the once-proud Commodore name, Tulip, who acquired the name in 1997, has released two portable music players, the e-Vic, a 20GB hard drive-based player, and the m-Pet, a yet another flash drive music player. Unlike the original Vic-20, the e-Vic isn't really that special, with a monochrome display, MP3 and WMA support, and a decent, if not amazing 10-15 playback time. The m-Pet, and the no-music f-Pets, are even less interesting. Wouldn't it be nice if they'd just let all these fondly remembered brands die? Next thing you know some French gaming giant will acquire the rights to the Atari brand and smear it all over a bunch of middling quality videogame titles.
