be a personal news portal (aka server-side news aggregator).
I see that they

space I am attacking.
And they are running into same
problems I have. Hehe. Luckily, they have Dare to

Why You Should Start Using RSS
Why You Should Start Using RSS
06/03/2004 12:23 AMWould a
Big Media Company Lose Traffic if They Supported RSS?
"Almost certainly these are the early days of a developing medium.
By getting into RSS in 2004, you can get ready for what comes next in
2005. I'd argue that not only is it necessary today to be publishing
in RSS, but your organization should also be a user of RSS. Your
editorial, advertising people and execs should subscribe not only to
your own feeds, but also subscribe to those of your competitors and
bloggers. Then in 2005 you'll see with your own eyes what follows and
be able to participate. This may be the most important reason to get
involved with RSS now." [Really Simple

rnet Explorer rivals celebrate gains: That's a 1% decline in
market share in one month.
Security flaws in Microsoft's (MSFT) ubiquitous Web browser are
breathing life into Internet Explorer's rivals. Since early June,
Explorer's share of the market has dropped from 95.48% to 94.42%,
according to San Diego Web analytics firm WebSideStory. [...]
Rolf Assev, marketing vice president of Opera Software, says sales
of its desktop browser have tripled the past two to three weeks. Opera
is also receiving renewed interest from corporations and having
conversations with unnamed PC makers about preloading the browser on
their machines. "That has not happened before," he says.
