SanDisk released a pretty detailed explanation for the repeated delays. It looks like some people think there are deeper problems at Palm causing delays in the Wi-Fi enablement of Palm devices. Users insert the media into an adapter; the adapter then works with any computer with a PC Card slot. PC Card interfaces are available on PowerBooks (excluding the 12-inch model). The 6-in-1 adapter will reach stores in early summer and will cost US$29.99. SanDisk's PC Card adapter Web page had not been updated with info about the new device as MacCentral posted this article.
