I hope
what this means is that Apple, in addition to Keynote, has now a word
processing and a spreadsheet application. And AppleWorks X is a suite
consisting of all these applications, plus, perhaps with a version of
FileMaker Pro.
And, hopefully, like the current
AppleWorks/ClarisWorks, the entire suite is also available for
Windows.

01/22/2004 02:10 AMIf you participate in non-techno-geek mailing lists, and you also make
a habit of "signing" your mail in compliance with the open standards
articulated by RFC2015/3156, you've undoubtedly run into questions
about what you're doing and possibly even criticism for doing it. At
least that's been my experience over the past couple of years on
mailing lists as low-tech as one dedicated to raising donkeys and
mules and as high-tech as tech journalism. Well, on second thought,
maybe those are both low-tech. But in any case, I've been asked to
stop signing messages on both lists. The question is what to do:
continue swimming upstream or give in and go with the flow?

America (double-click to re-centre, then use the sliders in upper

and then click on the 'satellite' button and see how much detail of
the
whole continent infrared satellite photos have captured. Then zoom
back
out in satellite mode and feel veeeery small. Dare you to stop at just one.

News:
While the lazy-ass mainstream media have clogged the airwaves all week
with the non-news of the late and dreadful pope's funeral, the
marriage
plans of British royalty, and various celebrities' trials, the deadly
Marburg virus, an Ebola relative, has taken its largest and most devastating toll
yet.
Sooner or later one of these is going to teach us what The Tipping
Point was really about. meanwhile the genocide in Darfur continues
unabated,
with the death toll of innocents reaching Rwanda proportions and an
entire village being razed to the ground yesterday. Oh, and you can
thank the NRA and the politicians in their back pockets for making it
much easier for terrorists, even those on Al Qaida watch
lists, to get AK-47s at the local store in your community.

music service will remain viable as the market heats up.
