OCaml 3.08.3 (Default branch)

OCaml 3.08.3 (Default branch) 03/26/2005 09:28 AM
Objective Caml is the latest implementation of the Caml dialect of ML. It has full support for objects and classes combined with ML-style type reconstruction, a powerful module calculus in the style of Standard ML (but retaining separate compilation), a high-performance native code compiler (in addition to a Caml Light-style bytecode compiler), and labeled arguments with possible default value.
Changes:
This release adds support for immediate objects (objects defined without going through a class), improved handling of NaN floats in polymorphic comparisons, and name space depollution in the runtime system to avoid name clashes when linking with external C libraries.

gba_kzone.jpg imageJust because I'm a sucker for customized Game Boy Advances (even if it's just a sticker), I thought I'd pass along this competition to win one of five Rip Curl GBA SPs on this Australian kid's site, K-Zone. Presumably, you have to be a kid to win, and probably an Ozlander, as well, but let me give you a little tip: I've never met any contest coordinator that wouldn't do whatever it took to get a full-grown man in a Sailor Moon outfit to leave. Just saying. (Thanks, Brad!)

Denver Public Library?s new online service is giving city residents access to popular eBooks directly from their homes and offices. The Library serves over a half-million residents and 80% of the city?s population has a library card and access to the new service. ?This is an exciting opportunity to provide eBooks to the city,? said Michelle Jeske, Manager of Web Information Services. ?This year, we saw a 24% increase in the number of online library transactions. eBooks that can be downloaded from our website fit very well with this kind of public demand,? she added.
