up the new iPod product page on the Apple Store, so if you had any
lingering last doubt that the Newsweek leak was legitimate it can now
be put to rest. As is my usual response to an Apple product launch, I
was initially underwhelmed, but have started to warm to some of the
ancillary changes (the primary change being the new iPod mini-like
Click Wheel), like the one-click Shuffle Songs menu option and the
extended battery life. And while that's well and good, since I don't
plan on upgrading for the time being (my iPod is still in the shop,
but will come back shiny and new, god willing), what I really
want to know is if we'll be seeing these changes to the 3rd generation
iPods and iPod mini through a firmware update. (Thanks,
everybody!)
