If we had owned this high-tech
Winnebago during formative family vacations, I’m sure I’d be that be
that much closer to getting my CISCO certification. Inside are six
Herman Miller Aeron chairs, a DirecPC satellite network connection,
and enough A/V gear to keep tabs on the Martha Stewart mansion. And
it’s all yours for about $8 grand—and rising.

Cussin'-est winnebago promo film, ever08/12/2004 11:58 PM This is a (not-worksafe) video of a guy shooting an industrial film
promoting a winnebago. He can't remember his lines, and every time he
blows a line, he curses like a sailor. I'v enever heard the eff-word
used so much in the course of describing a wholesome family vehicle.

Not a very condusive thing to have happen less than a week from
launch.

Teens Rely Heavily On TV For News, Rather Than The Internet
Teens Rely Heavily On TV For News, Rather Than The Internet06/22/2004 06:02 AM In a study that may surprise quite a few people, it turns out that
teenagers still
get most of their news from TV rather than from the internet.
This remains the case, even though plenty of studies have shown that
TV is having a harder time attracting viewers away from their
computers. The other interesting aspect of the study is that, for all
their rebelliousness and independence, the kids often get many of
their views and opinions on the news from their parents -- though, the
kids are upset that no adults like to listen to their views.

These "Pervsaive Ambience" tile concept by Caleb
Fung would an extremely elegant way to add unobtrusive function to
rooms. Each tile can serve as a link in a network, providing power and
information to various "node" tiles, including "lighting tiles, heated
tiles, flat speaker tiles, and LCD tiles." It would be wonderful if
someone would make these; it would be more wondeful if someone made
these an open standard.
The Pervasive Ambience tiles are just one submission to Design
Boom's '100% Tiles' competition.
