Radical Breeze on Friday announced plans to support Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" with its list of Macintosh applications. DiscBlaze 5.0 will be released on April 29, 2005 -- the same day as Tiger launches -- and will be a free update for 4.0 users.

TLA Systems on Tuesday released DragThing 5.6, its alternative dock application for Mac OS X. The updated version sports full support for Mac OS X v10.4, due out on April 29th. Other new features have been added also. DragThing 5.6 is a free update for registered users of DragThing 5 and is available for immediately download. It costs US$29 to register and requires Mac OS X v10.2 (though Tiger-specific features require Mac OS X v10.4).

Torino, Italy-based Ovolab on Tuesday announced the forthcoming release of Phlink v2.1, a new version of its telephony software for Mac OS X. Last summer I was talking about iChat in 10.4 supporting Jabber. Today a commenter confirmed that iChat in Tiger is supporting Jabber. Whee. Very cool. Thanks Laird! Hopefully it'll support the transport agents too so MSN, Yahoo and AIM (etc) can work in iChat via an appropriate Jabber server. If you didn't see it already, Tuesday Apple announced that OS X will be released on April 29th. Amazon still has the $35 off rebate thing; making the price $95....
