PixelMania: Where in the World is Tim?
01/05/2005 11:17 AMWe all know TimTheEnchanter as the easy-going guy here at Spymac. It
has been recently reported that he's been travelling the world spying
on members, visiting exotic places and showing up in people's photos.
The first PixelMania contest of 2005 asks you to take Tim and put him
in vacation, family, historic photos, whatever... he can be anywhere!
Tim in front of the Eiffel Tower, with someone famous, at a wedding,
posing with your friends, it's up to you! And add a little story about
it too, for fun. A little imagination and some pixel-magic are all
thats needed to make this a fun contest; all we ask is you keep them
clean and don't offend anyone in the process.
The lucky winner will win a Photoshop CS Down & Dirty Tricks DVD, and
will get to take 12 inches of Tim home... well, sort of. The winner
will also get a limited-edition, collectable Tim The Enchanter figure
from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That's right, a mini
version of our Tim to grace your home or office!
To help you with your quest, we have a couple of photos for which you
can use to make your entries below (1 full-body, 1 head-shot). The
jpegs are on white background and a quicker download. The psd files
are outlined, transparent backgrounds. Use the full body or paste
Tim's head on someone else, totally up to you. The following Tim
photos are layered PS files: download here
Maximum one entry per member. Contest closes on January 19th. Those
who entered will then have their entries judged by Spymac members (one
vote per person!) up until February 2 when the winner will be
announced. Good luck!

TPA membership Termination Notice
TPA membership Termination Notice
04/01/2005 03:24 PMFor years I have run a BBS (Bulletin Board Service) and have
been a member of the Trialware Professional Association. That website
at current count has allowed on my dime the download of 85,632,109
Shareware Programs. That is in a 15 year time spread from the days of
dial-up systems to modern Internet based BBS systems.
So what do I get in e-mail today from the TPA
-----------------------------------
I regret to inform you that your membership in the Trialware
Professional Association has been terminated.
This is due to your use the term "shareware" on your site. As you
should know a driving force of the TPA is to disuade people from using
this term.
Consider re-applying for TPA membership when you agree with the TPA
mission and rules.
http://www.trialware.org/mission.html
Please do not reply to this message. Due to lack of volunteers
replies cannot be returned. Questions should be asked on the TPA
newsgroups.
Regards
------------------------------------
Apparently this is some new policy in place like I really knew that
this was part of their mission statment. I probably visit there site
like once a year. It is obvious that shareware authors are getting
sensitive to the word SHAREWARE. Here is what I am going to do I will
systematically remove every TPA members files from my website and
never again will I apply to be a TPA member. Getting all upset over
the word SHAREWARE, hello. Probably the website administrator was
still wearing diapers when the term was coined.

Rebelbasers revealed the awesome
power of, believe it or not, the "lowly"

(or variations thereof) to leave a Light Side player with nothing but

replenish itself indefinitely. Click
