Gallery is a slick Web-based photo album written
using PHP. It is easy to install, includes a
config wizard, and provides users with the
ability to create and maintain their own albums in
the album collection via an intuitive Web
interface. Photo management includes automatic
thumbnail creation, image resizing, rotation,
ordering, captioning and more. Albums can have
read, write, and caption permissions per
individual authenticated user for an additional
level of privacy.

Gallery Mage, one can select, caption, rotate,
crop, resize, and upload photos taken with a
digital camera to an online photo gallery. The
rotate, crop, and resize parameters are stored as
text data with the images, and the operations are
only performed on a copy of the photo while
exporting, thus preserving the original picture
files. Gallery Mage provides abstraction from the
online display software.
Changes: This release adds PDF documentation, a reverse rotate ability, an Upload after Export option, a feature to disable FTP settings, an AutoSave feature (enabled by default), a Coppermine export plugin, checking of updates every five runs, and HTML documentation. Images now load in the background, so you can start captioning and rotating while the gallery is still loading. An easy FTP upload option has been added, so you can upload your images with the click of a button. The ability to modify the export settings (such as size) from within the program was added. Kodo JDO allows you to write database calls using Java statements
instead of SQL statements, by supporting the Java Data Objects
standard for transparent persistence. It is the most complete
implementation of the JDO specification for relational data stores,
and comes with tools for producing a schema from an object model,
producing class files from an existing schema, and a performance pack
(distributed caching and statement batching) that improves performance
by 15 - 30 times. It supports most relational databases, application
servers, and IDEs, and reduces the total coding effort by 20-40%.
Changes: This beta introduced a number of JDO 2 features including preview support for single field identity. This allows for the use of application identity without writing object ID classes when using a single primary key field. A lifecycle event listening framework was added as a JDO 2 preview feature. A convenience method was added for retrieving instances based on OID, primary key value, and stringified OIDs. Apache Derby/Cloudscape support was added. Caches can now be evicted on a schedule. Graphics3D is a free, Open Source C++ library for
game developers, researchers, and students. It is
a base of robust and high performance code common to most 3D
projects. It is not a standalone graphics or game engine--it is the
set of pieces you need to jumpstart your own engine or graphics
project. The library has two parts: G3D for pure math, and GLG3D for
interacting with hardware acceleration via OpenGL. You can use G3D
without GLG3D if you want to use another 3D API (like DirectX) or
don't like the OpenGL abstraction.
Changes: This release has support for g++ through 3.4.x, 2D and video rendering, 3DS loader, wxWidgets, a Win32 installer, large performance increases for networking, and workarounds for bugs in older graphics card drivers. SHORE (Semantic Hypertext Object Repository) is a
hypertext repository that stores data about
documents and data described by documents. Access
to this information is provided as hypertext. The
repository stores objects that appear in
documents, together with their relations in a
semantic net. Hypertext navigation follows these
relations in the semantic net. The SHORE server
works as an HTTP server, and the client is a
standard Web browser. The repository uses PROLOG
as its query language and the XSB system as its
query engine.
Changes: This release integrates the latest XSB Prolog version 2.7.1 (Kinryo) as the query engine. This offers the user sophisticated deductive query possibilities to find out all sorts of information inside stored documents and about the relations among them. OpenSHORE shows query results as hypertext, which leads the user directly to found documents, semantically marked text sections (objects), and relation end points. The query engine reads facts about documents on demand from an interface to the object-oriented database of OpenSHORE, so facts must not be copied for queries. The Cute Little Image Gallery Script (CLIGS)
generates an HTML index for a directory full of
JPEG images. It features on-the-fly scaling of
images, on-disk caching of resized images, custom
logo overlay, and simple XML gallery descriptions,
and outputs fully compliant HTML with CSS for
layout. It can read meta-data from either gthumb
or EXIF headers.
Qt is a toolkit for software developers. It simplifies the task of
writing and maintaining GUI (graphical user interface) applications.
It is written in C++ and is fully object-oriented. It is a
multi-platform toolkit. When you implement a program with Qt, you can
run it on the X Window System (Unix/X11), Apple Mac OS X, and

XEmacs (formerly known as Lucid Emacs) is a powerful, extensible text

ate with recent versions of that product. XEmacs stems from a
collaboration of Lucid, Inc. with Sun Microsystems, Inc. and the
University of Illinois with additional support having been provided by
Amdahl Corporation, INS Engineering Corporation, and a huge amount of
volunteer effort.
Freeciv is a multiuser reimplementation for Unix/X of the famous
Microprose game of Civilization. By default, the game is an improved
Civ II, but this can be customized; modpacks for near-100%
compatibility with Civ I and Civ II are included. Multiuser gameplay
is real-time: in each turn, all human players move concurrently. The
game is designed to remain fairly playable even on poor network
connections. Freeciv can also be played on standalone machines, and
its AI players are a good challenge for beginners. The source code
comes with the server, two X clients, and non-X clients for MS Windows
and Amiga. Freeciv is released under the GNU General Public License.
It is maintained by an international team of coders and enthusiasts,
and is easily one of the most fun and addictive network games out
there.
Groovy is an agile, dynamic language for the JVM which combines many
features from languages like Python, Ruby, and Smalltalk and makes
them
available to Java developers using a Java-like syntax. It is designed
to
help get things done on the Java platform in a quicker, more concise,
and fun way. It can be used as an alternative compiler to javac to
generate standard Java bytecode to be used by any Java project or it
can
be used dynamically as an alternative language, such as for scripting
Java objects, templating, or writing unit test cases.
WidgetWeb is a framework for creating
community-shared Web sites similar to wikis. These
are Web sites where content and page composition
can be edited via a Web browser. A powerful
permission model is provided to restrict which
community members are allowed to edit. WidgetWeb
is built on a simple premise: components comprise
a web page and components can be nested to create
more complicated effects. This provides for easy
browser-based editing.
UMark is a graphical user interface that allows
gamers and hardware reviewers to easily configure
and run benchmarks on UnrealŪ Tournament 200x
(UT2003 and UT2004, both demo and retail
versions). It supports "botmatch", "flyby", and
"timedemo" benchmarking. Users have the ability to
save and load their benchmark scores, or even
submit them online. This Linux version is a GTK+
2.0 port of UMark written from scratch.
PyPE (Python Programmers Editor) is a lightweight but powerful editor.
Tools for the new and seasoned user alike are included out of the box,
including syntax coloring, multiple open documents with tabs,
per-document browsable source trees, and many others.
Gollem is a Web-based file manager that provides the ability to fully
manage a hierarchical file system stored in a variety of backends such
as a SQL database, as part of a real filesystem, or on an FTP server.
It supports uploading and downloading of files, basic file operations,
permissions support, and MIME recognition and viewing of files through
the Horde MIME library. It is fully internationalized and
translatable.
Helpcore is an enterprise grade help and servicedesk application. It
acts as a central information hub for everybody that is involved in
the help and service desk process. Managers can see overview and
decision making information, system administrators can see the status
of their network and software, and users can see the current status of
their problems.
jsXe is the Java Simple XML Editor. It allows you
to edit an XML document through a tree-like view.
It is written in Java using the Swing toolkit,
JAXP, and DOM.
Bist stands for "bidimensional structures" and is
a chemical drawing tool. It is focused on organic
chemistry, but it may be useful for chemists or
teachers as well. Bist support many of the
formalisms used to describe molecular structures

that allows you to schedule your bid to be placed
seconds before the auction ends, preventing the
price from being driven high early in the auction.

time and secure login to eBay via SSL.
AutoScan is an application designed to explore and manage your
network. Entire subnets can be scanned simultaneously without human
intervention. It features OS detection, automatic network discovery, a
port scanner, a Nessus client, a Samba share browser, and the ability
to save the network state.
