Review: Bionicle

Review: Bionicle 04/12/2005 01:14 PM

If there’s a Bionicle fan in your house who hasn’t already played this on a console, it may be worth your while. Otherwise, the game’s frustrating camera controls alone make this one to avoid.

04/06/2005 02:46 PM
Waterfield Bags launched a SleeveCase designed specifically for the Mac Mini within weeks of the official Apple announcement. In its default configuration as I received it, the SleeveCase is merely what it claims to be, a case into which a Mac Mini will fit. However, Waterfield offers a configuration with a detachable shoulder strap. (read the review) This makes it very comparable to the eM2 bag we reviewed a few weeks ago...

I don’t link to every review of NetNewsWire—but Chris Seibold’s review is funny.

Everyone knows what a RSS feed is, well maybe not everyone. If you don't know what an RSS feed is send me your home address and I'll personally come kick you to death for being so out of touch. I'm joking, my knees feel like gravel in a Ziplock bag, I couldn't kick an ant to death.

Doom 3 Review

Doom 3 Review 08/11/2004 11:40 AM

Doom 3 one of the scariest video games ever made: I'm not much of a gamer, and I'm definately not much of a horror afficionado. I'll leave this one for those who are.

What you see in this M-rated game is definitely NOT for children or the squeamish. The vivid three-dimensional graphics, a true step forward for computer games, allow for some extremely gross death scenes involving large quantities of blood and various human and monster guts. [...]

One nice touch adds a great deal of tension: you have a flashlight that never runs out of power, but you can't use it at the same time as your weapons. [...]

Doom 3 doesn't revolutionize computer games as we know them. Rather, it polishes the horror-themed first-person shooter genre to a high gloss.

It's not going to provoke any deep thoughts or philosophical debate, but anyone looking for a good scare will enjoy this gorgeous nail-biter.

SimCity is more my speed.

Uploading and downloading files is a common task for a webmaster. Normally that's accomplished by using one of several programs, but here's another solution - WebDrive, which integrates WebDAV, FTP, or SFTP servers into the Windows desktop by mapping them to a network drive letter.
