Hooray for Roaming Deals12/02/2003 04:55 PM Boingo Wireless strikes deal with Concourse to add a handful of
airports to Boingo's network: Now Boingo customers can use Wi-Fi in
LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark, and soon Detroit-Wayne county and
Minneapolis/St. Paul. Boingo previously had access to these networks
via its partnership with Wayport, but Wayport's relationship with
Concourse has been severed in several airports. In other related news,
Sprint said that its PCS customers can access Concourse's networks in
those same airports. Sprint also has deals with Airpath, Cometa,
Wayport, and Truckstop.net, and has built a Wi-Fi network in the
Kansas City International Airport. Now if only Sprint and Boingo would
get together......

2nd Life
2nd Life01/02/2005 06:11 PM Terribly Sorry about 0.01
If I had posted more frequently, my entries would have most likely
been about the amount of stress I was under or how tired I was from
working. And, if i posted that, I'm sure a number of you would have
thought "what the hell is she talking about? Movable Type can't be
that hard to develop."
And, if I had ignore the self-embargo I had placed on myself not to
speak about work, I feared that not only I would have said too much
but I would have also created a public record of my weaknesses --
something that I was sure would come to haunt me some day.
So I wrote the sort of posts that kept me in a pre-TypePad,
pre-funding state of mind. What you see in my archives from the past
few months represents almost all thoughts I've had that relate to my
for-public-consumption life. The fact that I've forked has been
incredibly difficult to reconcile in dollarshort.org and I'm so
terribly happy that, with this announcement, I'm living an secret-free
existence.
We write weblogging tools because we believe in the medium. At some
point, the writer has to choose what they can and can not disclose in
public. Some of this has to do with strategy and some of it has to do
with legalities. Weblogging is amazing because you can read the
thoughts of a newly-minted CEO and understand, with one post, what has
been going through her mind for the past couple months.
That's a power that we can't take for granted.
Life is...
Life is...10/28/2003 11:09 PM (a) kicking ass; and (b) kicking my ass. Regular Lockergnome
operations were suspended last week while we did a little spring
cleaning. Turns out, there's more dust under the couch than previously
anticipated. That, and we've decided to go out and buy new pieces of
furniture. Oh, yes... and it's not spring. I've been so caught up in
the maze of my personal and professional lives, that I completely
forgot about the hour gain this weekend. I look out the window now and
see California smoke, but those fires rival these which are burning in
my own little world. "I'd drown apart from that which I learned to
live without." My poetry is back with a vengeance....

upkeep I can have that private virtual island of my dreams. Now where
