NeoOffice 1.1 Release Candidate Patch-1 (Java branch)

NeoOffice 1.1 Release Candidate Patch-1
(Java branch)

NeoOffice 1.1 Release Candidate Patch-1
(Java branch)
04/08/2005 03:11 PM

Screenshot NeoOffice is a project that is developing a native Mac OS X port of OpenOffice.org with an Aqua look-and-feel. The Cocoa branch (NeoOffice/C) is no longer under development. The Java/Carbon branch (NeoOffice/J) is under active development and is stable enough for daily use. It provides the foundation upon which the user interface can be redesigned to adhere to the conventions of the Aqua Human Interface Guidelines.

Changes:
This release fixes a number of bugs and adds two new user-requested features. Indic text (e.g. Devanagari and Gujurati) is now supported; this patch adds support for character reordering, which is required to properly render Indic text. System colors are used in the UI; previously, hard-coded background, text, and highlight colors were used. With this patch, Neo/J now uses the colors set in the System Preferences application.

X-Plane 8.11 Release-Candidate 1 (Beta
branch)
04/08/2005 04:25 AM
Screenshot X-Plane is a flight simulator that reads in the geometric shape of any aircraft and then figures out how that aircraft will fly. It does this via an engineering process called "blade element theory", which involves breaking the aircraft down into many small elements and then finding the forces on each little element many times per second. These forces are then converted into accelerations, which are then integrated to velocities and positions. This gives X-Plane the most realistic flight model available for personal computers.
