Kernel Mode Linux 2.4.31_001 (For Linux
2.4 branch)

Kernel Mode Linux is a technology which enables
the execution of user programs in a kernel mode.
In Kernel Mode Linux, user programs can access
kernel address space directly. Unlike kernel
modules, user programs are executed as ordinary
processes (except for their privilege level), so
scheduling and paging are performed as usual.
Although it seems dangerous, the safety of the
kernel can be ensured through such methods as
static type checking, software fault isolation,
and so forth.

The Novell Linux Kernel Debugger (NLKD) is a
kernel debugger for Linux. NLKD provides an
architecture for supporting a robust debugging
experience and debug agents supporting local and
remote debugging. NLKD's Console Debug Agent (CDA)
supports on-box kernel debugging and is extremely
rich in functionality and easy to use. The Remote
Debug Agent (RDA) supports remote source level
debugging via gdbtransport to your favorite gdb
based client.

MOSIX Cluster Management 1.13.1 for
Linux 2.4.30 (Linux 2.4 branch)
MOSIX Cluster Management 1.13.1 for
Linux 2.4.30 (Linux 2.4 branch)
04/07/2005 10:26 AMMOSIX is a management system that allows a cluster
of x86 nodes to perform like a parallel computer.
It is particularly suitable to run intensive
computing and massive I/O applications. In a MOSIX
system there is no need to modify applications,
link them with any library, or even assign
processes to different nodes. It is done
automatically, just "fork and forget", like in an
SMP system. MOSIX is geared toward improved
performance, overhead-free scalability and
ease-of-use.
Linux-VServer 1.9.5 (Linux 2.6
Development branch)
Linux-VServer 1.9.5 (Linux 2.6
Development branch)
03/24/2005 05:25 AM
Linux-VServer allows you to create virtual private
servers and security contexts which operate like a
normal Linux server, but allow many independent
servers to be run simultaneously in one box at
full speed. All services, such as ssh, mail, Web,
and databases, can be started on such a VPS,
without modification, just like on any real
server. Each virtual server has its own user
account database and root password and doesn't
interfere with other virtual servers.
Changes:
A small bug in IPv6 hiding was fixed, a memory
leak in an error path was removed, and a
mysterious double allocation issue in x25 was
fixed. iunlink and barrier update for XFS as well
as the proc/mounts virtualization were corrected.
A new claim/release scheme replaces the double
refcounting. Legacy support was separated, and a
bunch of new limits/accountings were added
(anon_rss, locks, shm, forks). A new ccap that
protects network mounts was added. Compile time
information was added to the proc info.
