OpenWFE 1.5.1 (Default branch)

OpenWFE 1.5.1 (Default branch)

OpenWFE 1.5.1 (Default branch) 04/08/2005 10:31 AM

Screenshot OpenWFE is a workflow engine. It is robust, extensible, and scalable. Access libraries for Python, Perl, and .NET make it easy to write custom interfaces or agents (automatic participants) for a workflow-enabled system.

Changes:
This is the first release of OpenWFE under the vanilla BSD license. The configurability of any character encoding throughout each components has been enforced. The variable system has been completely reworked with distribution and clustering in mind. New functions have been added to the process definition language, especially "tadd", which allows the addition of durations and which, combined with the "when" expression, allows for precise temporal-based workflows.

This is a GrokNews Entry: (what is grok?)

Changes:
The workflow instantiation mechanism was completely revised, making the OpenWFE process definition language even more expressive and powerful. Functions were heavily enhanced. The worklist now relies on a decoupled store/storage system with get and put strategies: one can easily supply their own storage implementation and take advantage of existing implementations like QueryGetStrategy. The participant map service was simplified and now relies more on regular expressions: the default participant map could fit a lot of organizational models.

OpenWFE 1.5.0 released 03/17/2005 04:19 AM
OpenWFE 1.5.0 is a major step in this open source workflow engine development : the workflow instantiation mechanism has been completely revised, making the OpenWFE process definition language even more expressive and powerful. Along with this change, functions in the process definition language have been heavily enhanced. The worklist now relies on a decoupled store/storage system with get and put strategies for workitems : one can easily supply its own storage implementation and take advantage of existing QueryGetStrategy implementations. The participant map service has been simplified and now relies heavily on regular expressions : a default participant map could fit a lot of organizational models, of course, stores still have to be defined for roles and/or users. Wi.Ser 0.6.9 (Default branch)

Wi.Ser 0.6.9 (Default branch) 04/05/2005 05:35 PM
Screenshot Wi.Ser is a Java/XML server-side GUI-framework which enables an application to run as either a monolithic Swing app, a client/server Swing app, or as a Web app without any change. It includes a mixed deployment mode, which supports one server to serve Swing clients and Web clients at the same time. The framework uses XML to define an application's GUI. It provides a common widget-based, object-oriented programming interface for Web and Swing GUIs, which prevents the developer from struggling with HTML and HTTP or with the internals of Swing. For Swing client/server applications the client/server split as well as the client/server communication is handled transparently by the framework. The project includes a GUI builder that is based on the framework's functionality (screenshot, deployed as a Web/HTML application).
Changes:
This release includes a template pool to speed up HTML rendering. A CSS class can be set for all Web Widgets. A bug in the color settings method of forms has been fixed. New tags for additional widget properties are available within the GUI builder. A fix in the listBox HTML template for Mozilla is included, and the GPL version comes with a build.xml to integrate into the full distribution again.

It also features rewritten documentation, joypad and keyboard configuration in the graphical interface, and a new graphical engine. Developers can now manipulate the internal variables at run time to create custom plugins. US ROMs are now auto-deteced, some bugs were fixed, and support for big-endian CPUs was added. The program is now mainly licensed under the GPL (some parts use the mBSD and zlib license).
