Changes:
This release added a new Email Formatting Engine, VERP support for outgoing messages, and Mystery Girl, a bounce handler. The default templates were rewritten and are nw XHTML compliant. Major code refactoring was undertaken, and almost 90% of the embedded HTML was moved to templates using the HTML::Template module.

Firebird is a relational database offering many ANSI SQL-92 features that runs on Linux, Windows, and a variety of Unix platforms. It offers excellent concurrency, high performance, and powerful language support for stored procedures and triggers.
Changes:
This release features derived tables, support for Execute Block, increased table sizes, an improved index code (the 252-byte index length limit is no longer applicable), expression indices, numerous optimizer improvements, enhanced security features, and support for on-line incremental backups. Many other improvements and bugfixes were made.

Changes:
A bug in Socket.Select implementation that was introduced in 1.1.8 which failed to work on write/error descriptors was fixed. A long-standing deadlock in the runtime was fixed. This bug was only visible with heavy thread usage at startup on SMP systems, but it would freeze certain applications (Beagle, iFolder, and others). Support for NPTL as the default threading system was added, which will benefit Gentoo and Fedora Core 4 users.

The USAGI Project (UniverSAl playGround for Ipv6 Project) aims to provide a better IPv6 environment for Linux in conjunction with the WIDE, KAME, and TAHI projects. It includes Linux kernel extensions, IPv6 related libraries, and IPv6 applications.

A compile error in the IPv6 REJECT netfilter code was fixed. Linux kernels 2.6.12-rc2 and 2.4.30 are now supported.

XOM is an XML object model. It is a tree-based API for processing XML with Java that simultaneously supports streaming. In many use-cases, it can process arbitrarily large documents with effectively constant memory sizes. It strives for correctness, simplicity, and performance, in that order. XOM supports XSLT, Canonical XML, and XInclude.
