AP reports that Michael Moore's upcoming film "Fahrenheit 9/11" was given an 'R' rating today by the MPAA. The same MPAA that says violence is much more acceptable than sex. The same MPAA that has close ties to the FCC, running roughshod over First Ammendment freedoms. The same MPAA headed by Jack Valenti who played himself in Freakazoid! a cooky cartoon about superheroes that save Washington D.C. Email him if you disagree at jvalenti@mpaa.org or call the MPAA 818-995-6600 x396.

Moore's tactics

Moore's tactics 06/30/2004 08:05 AM

Nicholas Kristof: "Insults and rage impede understanding." Amen.

About the Michael Moore movie, Farenhe it 9/11. I haven't seen it and I don't plan to. I'm an American before I'm a member of any political party, and I have more invested in the intelligence of our decision-making process than in any one decision. I'd rather re-elect Bush than elect a president based on Moore's politics.

THINK!Yesterday on NPR they played an excerpt where he confronts members of Congress and asks if they would send their children to fight in Iraq. What a ridiculous question. No parent will say yes to that question. You could have asked that question on the Capitol steps during World War II and they still wouldn't say yes. See how this cheapens the question of whether we should be in Iraq? In a smart world, we wouldn't be there, but it isn't because Congress people won't say yes when confronted by a camera crew.

Moore is the worst of American politics, an opportunist, an anti-intellectual.

Vote no on Moore.

It's great that Michael Moore has a weblog but it has no RSS feed! That sucks. I see that there is a scraped feed but it doesn't include full text, just headline/date/etc. That also sucks. Does anyone know of a better scraped feed? If not, I suppose I'll have to write my own (unless someone with more free time beats me too it). But it just seems dumb that anyone should have to write an RSS scraper for a weblog....
