Any Internet photo printing services

12/17/2004 06:35 PMOut here with my cousins in the Bay Area the question of how to
print some of those Thanksgiving photos arises. Are there any
Internet printing services that let you upload camera RAW format
images and print from those? That would be the best quality,
presumably. Please add any recommendations of good printing
services for high-res files in the comments section. Thanks!

iPod camera connector now available
03/22/2005 03:31 PMApple has added the iPod Camera Connector, which it announced last
month, to its online store.
Priced at $29, the camera connector ships in one to three weeks and is
compatible with iPod photo (30/40/60GB). It requires iPod software
v1.1. Apple says the connector provides a fast and easy way to
transfer photos from a digital camera to an iPod photo.

iPod Camera Connector Details
iPod Camera Connector Details
03/23/2005 05:36 PMiPodlounge has details about the iPod Camera Connector and how
photographers should expect the device to work with their other
gear.
Apple said that most cameras with USB connectivity
can be used with the iPod Camera Connector, and must support either
the PTP, Type 4 (Normal), or Mass Storage protocol.
So
that's good, and means most flash memory card readers should work with
the iPod, but check out this little nugget:
"While an iPod
photo with an attached iPod Camera Connector may recognize another
iPod if you connect it, transferring photos from one iPod to another
is not supported."

Update: Kirk Eberle writes:
How about a PSP to an
iPod via Camera Connector? Do you think one could transfer PSP
compatible videos/photos between the two? That would be a nice use of
the extra GBs left on one's iPod, and make it unnecessary to buy a
largely spaced and pricey memStick Duo. One could settle for a
moderately priced 512 stick, and STILL have GBs of portable PSP
entertainment!
