Mail Avenger is a highly-configurable,
MTA-independent SMTP server. It lets users run messages through
filters like ClamAV and SpamAssassin during SMTP transactions, so the
server can reject unwanted email before assuming responsibility for
its delivery. Other unique features include TCP SYN fingerprint and
network
route recording, SPF (sender policy framework) as a general policy
language, qmail-style delivery of extension addresses, validation of
sender addresses through SMTP callbacks, mail-bomb protection,
integration with kernel firewalls, and more.
Changes:
This release fixes a fairly serious case conversion bug in the
SMTP callback cache. It also changes the strategy for
validating addresses with explicit relays (like <
@domain1,@domain2:user@domain3>).

Manitou-Mail is a 3-part database-driven email
system: a PostgreSQL database for the storage
engine, a Perl daemon that does send/receive and
customizable analysis/indexing of the mail, and a
mailer-like user interface (C++/Qt) connected to

Fast and shared access, fine-tuned security,
robust storage, consistent backups, auditing,
statistics, and customized add-ons are possible.
Changes:
The user interface is now available for MS Windows, with precompiled
binaries. A new plugin for indexing the contents of msword attachments
has been added, plus a few bugfixes to the mail-database exchanger
program.

CVS is a version control system, which allows you to keep old versions
of files (usually source code), keep a log of who, when, and why
changes occurred, etc., like RCS or SCCS. Unlike the simpler systems,
CVS does not just operate on one file at a time or one directory at a
time, but operates on hierarchical collections of directories
consisting of version controlled files. CVS helps to manage releases
and to control the concurrent editing of source files among multiple
authors. CVS allows triggers to enable/log/control various operations
and works well over a wide area network.
Changes:
This release fixes a few serious bugs in both the
CVS client and server. An intermittent assertion
failure on checkout was fixed. A final fix for the
infamous "Red File" bug on Windows was included.
An upgrade is recommended for all clients and
servers.
