Web Performance Trainer 2.7 Build 537 (Default branch)

Web Performance Trainer 2.7 Build 537
(Default branch)

Web Performance Trainer 2.7 Build 537
(Default branch)
03/28/2005 08:11 PM

Screenshot Web Performance Trainer is a load testing and stress testing tool for Web servers. Its statistical analysis takes your site's performance criteria, and determines the number of users your Web site can handle. Because data is collected at the URL level, it not only identifies slow Web pages, but identifies the particular part of the Web page that caused the problem. Web Performance Trainer includes hard-to-find features such as IP spoofing, client certificates, multiple simultaneous test cases, authentication, SSL recording and playback, automated analysis, and more.

Changes:
The minor feature added in this release is the ability to record with Firefox. To aid in debugging server connection errors, the connection-attempt-duration has been added to error messages when the connection to server fails. Miscellaneous bugs fixed include a fix of the display of date/time for localized formats, and the label and formatting of the "sample start time" statistic on Analysis reports.

Easy cloning of local disks as well as partitions is also supported.

What the heck is: A string

What the heck is: A string 10/28/2003 11:08 PM
And no, it's not nearly as stupid a question as it may seem. This time out, we're going to talk about string data, what it means, how its interpreted, and odds are how much stuff you've never had to think about with it. Strings are remarkably complex things. Remarkably confusing, too, if you're mono-lingual in a language with a simple base writing system. (Like, say, me) A "string", for our purposes, is a series of bits that represents some piece of text in a human language. What you're reading now is text, as is the stuff in your phone book,...

Pulling on a string

Pulling on a string 05/06/2004 01:03 PM
Mark Nottingham: In a nutshell, XOP is an alternate serialisation of XML that just happens to look like a MIME multipart/related package, with an XML document as the root part. That root part is very similar to the XML serialisation of the document, except that base64-encoded data is replaced by a reference to one of the MIME parts, which isn’t base64 encoded. I guess I am supposed to take comfort in the assertions that the serializations look like and are very similar to XML and MIME respectively.  Hopefully, I'll find more rigor in the working draft. ...
