purchased by Sungard Public
Sector and Nonprofit Systems for more than $500 million.
No changes of leadership or immediate operations are planned.
Formally, for the transfer of ownership to take place, the SCT board's
approval is required, and federal antitrust scrutiny passed.
SCT
software is widely used by colleges for administrative data.
Sungard has been
expanding its educational holdings since 1999. Most recently it
purchased the FAME
