4.3. There are a lot of significant changes in this release, and a
full list is available here. There is a whole new set of stream
capabilities, as well as a slew of bug fixes. One less important but

secure remote-access tool for Windows. This is a minor bugfix released
to improve the connection reliablity of earlier versions.

EchoVNC supports the following features:
o Secure connections to VNC servers behind unconfigured firewalls and
routers
o A "dynamic-DNS" capability for VNC Servers without static IP
addresses
o A startup wizard to assist with initial setup
o An option to automatically start EchoVNC at startup
o OpenSSL is automatically detected to enable the 128-bit AES
encryption option
EchoVNC is a secure remote-access tool based on VNC. With it, a
Windows PC can be remotely accessed regardless of firewall or router
configuration. EchoVNC makes standard VNC installs "firewall friendly"
with no port-forwarding requirements. EchoVNC is built upon the
open-source echoWare SDK developed as part of the Kaboodle project.
With echoWare, any peer-to-peer or client-server Internet application
can interconnect via a 3rd-party relay server, making all data traffic
appear to be "outgoing" to any client-side firewalls or routers. Via
the OpenSSL library, connections between the two applications can have
their data content secured with a Diffie-Hellman key-exchange and
128-bit AES encryption. The relay-server supported by echoWare clients
is a shareware application called "echoServer" -- together with
EchoVNC, it provides an overall remote-access solution that is
"firewall-friendly", highly secure, and extremely low cost.

great features that would make creating web forms a snap! We have
added support to create forms with file uploads, and password fields.
Also, for those who don't have access to a MySQL database but still
want to store the data from the forms that are being filled out, we
have added a file-based database system! This will act just like a
regular database and keep track of all the forms that are filled out
at your site.
And it keeps getting better!!! We have also added an administration
portal for managing the data that is filled out in your forms! This
feature can be used with both a MySQL database or the file-based
database created by the program.

Now DocBookWiki is usable and somehow stable, although not yet
perfect. There are still some unfixed known bugs (and maybe many
others that are not known yet). There are also some things that need
improvment.
Bug fixing and small improvments will be the aim of the next release
(maybe 0.7.2). The next major improvment will be replacing CVS by
Subversion, which will be done maybe in release 0.8 .

and messaging solution. MantaRay 1.4 is now available. A new
persistency mechanism was implemented in this release so that recovery
of persistent files is now faster and more stable. In addition, the
new persistency takes less disk space and when possible it reduces the
size of the persistent file. An infrastructure was created for
different persistency implementations other then file persistency.
Documentation was modified in the release as well - a new FAQ document
was added to the documentation package and the "User Guide" and
"Getting Started" documents were modified according to your input.

Cryptographers have discovered a way to hack Bluetooth-enabled
devices even when security features are switched on. The discovery may
make it even easier for hackers to eavesdrop on conversations and
charge their own calls to someone else's cellphone.
"Our attack makes it possible to crack every communication between
two Bluetooth devices, and not only if it is the first communication
between those devices," says Shaked.
Check out the time required to pull this off:
They show that once an attacker has forced two devices to pair,
they can work out the link key in just 0.06 seconds on a Pentium
IV-enabled computer, and 0.3 seconds on a Pentium-III. "This is not
just a theoretical break, it's practical," says Schneier.

Leggio said of underage drinking. How dangerous? Well apparently
dangerous enough that one affluent Kansas City community has decided
that it is best to have police spy on teens during high school
basketball games. Oh it gets better, apparently a carload of teens is
enough for a Lenexa cop to follow you! So the parents should be up in
arms right? Nope, they encourage the police, even calling them
("she told dispatchers that when she called home to check on her
son, it sounded like a party was going on"). Yet surprisingly,
despite this almost police-state like mentality against drinking,

Williams commented that the people who shout the loudest are often
the ones who have no basis for their anger. I'm reminded of this fact
by an email I received this morning. Here's a quote:
"Fix your piece of s--- program! I upgraded to
FeedDemon 1.10 and it crashes with 'Win32 device error.' Did you even
test this s---?"
I've actually received a number of emails (and one forum post)
about this bug, but I have no plans to fix it. Why? Because the
error message only appears if you upgrade a cracked
version of FeedDemon 1.0. This is a deliberate error
message that FeedDemon 1.10 displays when it detects that you upgraded
from a specific cracked version of FeedDemon 1.0.
That's right, people who use a pirated version of
FeedDemon are emailing me for support. It never ceases to amaze me
when people not only steal from me, but also expect me to spend my
time answering their questions. And more often than not, the email
I've received about this problem reads like something a drunk teenager
would write.
I've written
about piracy befor
e and I'm not planning to start another lengthy rant. But I do
have a request for those who have justified their use of cracked
versions of my work: don't ask for support. I
support my family with sales of my software, and my life is affected -
dramatically - by the existence of cracks. Please, if you're using a
pirated version of my software, don't expect me to help you.
