Google envy? We’ll never know. I have to admit that I don’t see a clear motive for this move. Admittedly, HP already does cameras and printers, but why muddy the waters with an outfit whose main real usefulness was printing out digital photos? We’ll have to wait and see… Aiming to boost its presence in the digital-photography market, Hewlett-Packard said Monday that it plans to buy online photo service Snapfish. Read more……

FortuneCity has launched their new photo album service appropriately named “MyPhotoAlbum”. A premium service being offered to FortuneCity users, MyPhotoAlbum allows users to easily share photos with friends and family. While being offered as a free service to thousands, it seems very similar to Yahoo Photos offered for free through the Yahoo search engine portal. Unlike Yahoo Photos however, the first 10,000 registered users will be entered in a raffle for a new digital camera, gift certificates plus tons of other goodies. Since they are giving away free stuff, I entered just a few minutes ago. With any luck, I will be one of the lucky few that will be coming away with a little more than a cool place to store and share my pictures. To be blunt, I want that digital camera. After all, the price is right. ;o)

Opportunities for Fortune 100
08/30/2004 02:46 AM
Oneupweb Study of Fortune 100 Concludes: Global Leaders Risk Losing Market Share—Less Than 10% Using SEO Well. Oneupweb, a world-class search engine optimization and marketing firm, today released a new white paper outlining its study of Fortune 100 Web sites and revealed that less than 10 percent use search engine optimization (SEO) effectively. And, more than 40 percent aren’t using SEO at all. The 2004 study also compares results to another Oneupweb study performed in 2002 and while numbers have improved, these global leaders are allowing other companies to usurp them online. The study titled, “Global Leaders Risk Losing Market Share,” is available at Oneupweb.com under “Articles.” [PRWEB Aug 30, 2004]
