thing at the end of his keynote to kick off this week's Apple Expo in
Paris: a

includes the entire system inside a 17- or 20-inch LCD screen.
Continuing the all-in-one theme that started with the original CRT
iMac, the G5 edition features a new industrial design that complements
Apple's recently refreshed Cinema Displays. Schiller said that the new
iMacs will be available in mid-September.

20-inch model to the top of the consumer line-up. The iMac 20-inch
comes with a 1.25GHz G4 processor and a superdrive, and features an
expansive 1680x1050 pixel screen driven by an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
with 64MB of video memory. An internal bluetooth module is available
as a build-to-order option on all iMacs. The price of the new top-end
consumer iMac is US$2,199.

is "the largest display in an all-in-one computer." The
20" screen offers twice the area of the 15" iMac, letting users
display more than 2 full pages side by side.
The 20" iMac retails for $2199 and features a 1.25GHz G4
processor, SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, support for
Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme, and an 80GB hard drive. The new iMac is
available immediately at the Apple online store, Apple retail stores,

12-inch PowerBook Apple released at the beginning of 2003. The 12-inch
white polycarbonate iBook with its 800MHz processor is 67MHz slower
than the Aluminum 12-inch PowerBook's G4, and the iBook is not
available with a Superdrive, but aside from this, the machines are
almost identical. In fact, when it was first introduced, the 12-inch
PowerBook was often jokingly referred to as a G4 iBook.

resolution. Apple also introduced new 23-inch and 20-inch displays to
replace their existing flat panel monitors. The new displays all have
the by-now familiar widescreen aspect ratio found across almost all of
Apple's pro hardware line, and sport dual FireWire 400 and USB 2.0
ports, and use DVI to connect to video cards instead of Apple's
vaunted ADC interface -- making the new monitors compatible
out-of-the-box with Power Macs, PowerBooks, and PC-compatible
computers as well.
