NeoOffice 1.1 Release Candidate (Java
branch)
03/31/2005 03:39 AM

NeoOffice is a project that is developing a native
Mac OS X port of OpenOffice.org with an Aqua
look-and-feel. The Cocoa branch (NeoOffice/C) is
no longer under development. The Java/Carbon
branch (NeoOffice/J) is under active development

the foundation upon which the user interface can
be redesigned to adhere to the conventions of the
Aqua Human Interface Guidelines.

X-Plane 8.11 Release-Candidate 1 (Beta

X-Plane 8.11 Release-Candidate 1 (Beta
branch)
04/08/2005 04:25 AM

X-Plane is a flight simulator that reads in the
geometric shape of any aircraft and then figures
out how that aircraft will fly. It does this via
an engineering process called "blade element
theory", which involves breaking the aircraft down
into many small elements and then finding the
forces on each little element many times per
second. These forces are then converted into
accelerations, which are then integrated to
velocities and positions. This gives X-Plane the
most realistic flight model available for personal
computers.

Scilab 3.1 Release Candidate 1 (Beta
branch)
Scilab 3.1 Release Candidate 1 (Beta
branch)
04/10/2005 09:50 PM

Scilab is a numerical computation system similiar
to Matlab or Simulink. Scilab includes hundreds of
mathematical functions, and programs from various
languages (such as C or Fortran) can be added
interactively. It has sophisticated data
structures (including lists, polynomials, rational
functions, and linear systems), an interpreter,
and a high-level programming language. Scilab has
been designed to be an open system where the user
can define new data types and operations on these
data types by using overloading. A number of
toolboxes are available with the system.
Changes:
There is a new interface to call Scilab from Java. The TCL interface
has been totally rewritten. There is an improved Scipad editor, a new
debugger, major graphics improvements, major Scicos improvements,
improved efficiency of sparse operators, improved matlab2sci
translator, new import of Excel files, and more. The source compiles
on 64-bit architectures, and the Windows version has been optimized.

Panda Publisher Release Candidate 3
(Default branch)
03/31/2005 12:29 PM

Panda Publisher is a lightweight content management system. It aims
to be fast, scalable, standards-compliant and meta-data rich in order
to serve page viewers better and allow Web masters to concentrate on
writing content rather than all the little things that make visiting
Web
sites easier for users. Meta-data is created on the fly to ensure that
it is up-to-date. Menus, Site Maps, Searches, etc. are all generated
automatically to give consistent navigation to the end user.
Changes:
Since RC2, a new installer was added. This is the
first release with an installer. Standards
compliance was improved. The style sheet selector
in admin was fixed. An offline mode was added. A
Geek style was added. Code clean-ups and security
fixes were made. A possible SQL injection problem
in head.php was fixed.

and is stable enough for daily use. It provides
the foundation upon which the user interface can
be redesigned to adhere to the conventions of the
Aqua Human Interface Guidelines.
Changes:
This release fixes a number of bugs and adds two new user-requested
features. Indic text (e.g. Devanagari and Gujurati) is now supported;
this patch adds support for character reordering, which is required to
properly render Indic text. System colors are used in the UI;
previously, hard-coded background, text, and highlight colors were
used. With this patch, Neo/J now uses the colors set in the System
Preferences application.

Understanding the Importance of Release
Early, Release Often
12/03/2002 12:47 PMWhat Often Happens when Commercial Source Developers "Go Open"
This is a pretty common tenet in the Open Source world and where
commercial developers often go wrong. If you are an ex-commercial
developer then you want desperately to reach a "1.0" stage or a "near
functional", "mostly baked" stage before going live. You wouldn't
want to release something piece meal, would you? After all -- that's
the way it's done. -- Scott Johnson

.) written in C++ with the win32 API (without MFC strictly). The aim

This version, which enhances the Find/Replace dialog, gives to user
more control for search and replace functionality :

files.
However, the Find in Files feature is not in this release. I need more
time to do it.
Here's chang log of v2.9 :

08/05/2004 08:48 AMwebERP v2.9b Release
webERP v2.9b Release
01/06/2005 07:43 PMwebERP is an integrated accounting system written in PHP including
multi-currency AR, AP, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Sales Analysis,
Standard Costing, Mulit-location inventory, General Ledger, Bank
Accounts and reconciliations.
The major changes in this release, apart from a few smaller bug fixes
and minor improvements throughout are:
- multilanguage for users. With gettext installed on your server
webERP can now be viewed in various languages. A couple of languages
are complete and more are currently being translated! Some good
multilanguage tools are contained in the distribution for creating,
viewing and editing the language translation files. We are currently
completing multilanguage for reports including a solution for more
complicated languages that require multi-byte characters. For anyone
who would like to contribute to webERP multilanguage we have the easy
to use tools mentioned above setup at http://www.weberp.org/translate.
More information about multilanguage can be found in our documents
section (DocManager) and by joining the multilanguage list.
- unified database and other system messages. Facilities to present
messages have been built and the entire system has been modified to
use these common facilities. This should enhance the user experience
and ensure messages now and in the future will always be handled in a
"perfect" manner.
- cleaned up the code throughout. This included formatting for
increased readability of the code, increasing speed where possible by,
for example, using single quotes everywhere instead of double quotes
which take time to be parsed and formatting to better display long
lines such as sql and printf. More about coding standards can be found
in our documents (DocManager).
- the manual can now be accessed directly from the webERP system quick
menu at the top. It has been separated into sections based on the
table of contents to minimize loading size and time. There are
facilities within for printing sections or the complete manual.
We have also added some processes and facilities that will assist
webERP in moving forward. There are now current and long term roadmaps
that help keep us aware and focused on development. Processes for
official releases and patches have been refined. And more...
