Chris Pirillo is recommending.
Personally I guess if these ads were doing well enough to allow me
to retire I may have a look at them otherwise my time is much more
valuable that parsing log files. [C

09/03/2004 05:49 PMI just noticed something about Google Adsense. First, there are
suddenly more "o"'s in "Google." Look ot the right. It used to be
spelled normally.
Second, click on the "Ads by Goooooogle" link and you'll be taken
to a page where:
Google would like to know what you think of these ads.
Please provide your feedback by filling out this form

New kind of web ads
New kind of web ads
01/17/2004 11:21 PMWeb ad sales to hit $6.9 billion [CNET News.com - The Net]
I sat in a meeting today discussing new kinds of ad sales.
There are people out there who will pay real money (apparently as much
as $6.9B this year) to put pixels in front of your face that have hot
zones to click on. These pixels, usually form the pattern of
text or images that represent products, services or brands.
So how can we take all the pent up energy, potential and creativity
of teh past 15 years - and do somethign creative with this potential -
besides swinging Spiderman interstitials?
:-)
What I'm doing is incredibly fun! I can't believe i get paid

A different kind of May day
A different kind of May day
05/01/2004 12:38 AMFirst of May is always a big celebration in Finland, especially among
students. Traditions go rampant, all who are able to get out to party
(except for the most hardened cynics), alcohol is consumed in
alarmingly large quantities, and the entire city of Helsinki becomes
one giant outdoor toilet. It is the celebration of life and the end of
winter.
This morning, 50,000 people gather in the Helsinki Kaisaniemi park to
eat breakfast, drink champagne, and enjoy the sun.
Me?
I'm watching Teletubbies with my niece. And chatting with
one-syllable words.
And can't really say that it's a bad thing either.

I think Halle Berry is sexy, particularly her face,
voice, and, er, you know
what. But I didn't think her nose was that particularly good
looking until I
saw her Catwoman photos like the one above. Isn't it amazing
how hiding the
nose under the mask changes her overall look? She doesn't
look like Halle Berry
at all. Even her you know what looks less attractive.
Weird.
I filed this post under Technical category for obvious
reasons.

Adsense Article
Adsense Article
03/14/2005 06:07 PMGoogle's AdSense a bonanza for some Web sites: An article
about AdSense that states numbers, which is rare:
Tales of AdSense riches range from a few hundred dollars a month to
$50,000 or more a year, though high-dollar paydays are rare. They
require a Web site with tons of traffic and the ability to put in
18-hour days working the system. [...]
In his first four months of Web publishing, AdSense brought in
$45,000. Some of his blogs produce $3,000 a month. His best do "four
figures," Calacanis says, though he's reluctant to fill in the exact
numbers. "And that's with zero marketing," he says.
There are some detractors:
"This is a program that rewards people not for creating
the best content, but for how to create sites to attract more
advertising," says Danny Sullivan, editor of Search Engine Watch
online newsletter. "AdSense has nothing to do with search. It
effectively turns the Internet into a billboard for Google's
ads."
I've been happy with the program, and that's all I think I'm
allowed to say about it.
AdSense and Borders
AdSense and Borders
04/01/2005 11:48 AMIf you have Google Adsense on your site, here is the best piece of
advice I can give you: don't put borders around your ads. I
had a border around my skyscraper banner on the right here, so it sat
in its own little box.
A friend told me to take the border off. I figured it couldn't
hurt to try it, so I made the border white, so it just fades into the
background. Nothing else was changed. I did it in the middle of the
month, so the first half was with the border, the second half
without.
The result in terms of clickthrough rate?
With border: 1.62%
Without border: 2.76%
That's a seventy percent increase.

02/11/2004 04:14 PMI'm experimenting with Google AdSense on my weblog. My plan is to be

smart their targeting really is. So don't be surprised if you see ads

to make enough to matter, but I have some ideas that I can probably

AdSense for Domains
AdSense for Domains
06/05/2005 11:47 PMGoogle AdSense for
domains: Domain squatters, your AdSense program has arrived.
Apparently it keys off the domain name itself, since there's nothing
else on the page.
AdSense for domains allows domain name registrars and large domain
name holders to unlock the value in their parked page inventory.
AdSense for domains delivers targeted, conceptually related keywords
and advertisements to parked domain name pages by using Google's
semantic technology to "understand" the meaning of each domain name.
