2.0 extension cord for Apple's iPod shuffle. The cord lets iPod
shuffle users connect to an available USB 2.0 port on their computer
without having to reach around or otherwise contort themselves. It's
molded in iPod white and measures four feet long. The ezLink Shuffle
costs US$14.

ezCharge Shuffle, an auto charger for Apple's iPod shuffle. The device
plugs into the cigarette lighter or accessory jack in your vehicle and
helps to keep the iPod shuffle charged when you're on the road. It
includes a coiled cable and a replaceable fuse, and has been molded in
"iPod white." It will be available in late March.

iPods.
Just think... Now you can — in one easy stop — get your
oil changed, pick up groceries, the latest DVD release, a low-cost
Lindows laptop, a fresh pack of underwear, a 100lb bag of dog food, a
Schwinn Stingray bike
for your kid's birthday, and buy an iPod. And oh so much
more.
Good Lord Almighty, what's next? Mac Mini's at BestBuy? Oh wait;
that's already happened!
Actually, I think getting Apple products into more non-Apple stores
will do wonders to broaden the user base and help people better
understand the Mac. What I don't get is Walmart selling iPods —
which are portable little iTunes Music Service billboards — when
they have their own online music service. And given all the reasons to hate Walmart, why would Apple want to deal with them
in the first place?

I don't know what prompted these photoshops of a giant iPod
shuffle in everyday situations, but they aren't half bad, and just
surreal enough to be pleasant. And can you imagine, I haven't even
bought one yet, and I just may not if they really are this poor a

a set of three clips for attaching an iPod shuffle to a belt, a piece
of clothing, a backpack or just about any place else. The collection
features a belt clip, a gripper clip for clamping it to a sleeve or
other area of clothing and a push pin clip that fastens it almost
anywhere. All three match the shuffle's appearance and are made of
white ABS plastic, stainless steel and galvanized steel. PodBuddy
expects to ship The Clips in March for US$19.99.

reporting that Wal-Mart has begun shipping small quantities of the
iPod mini to select outlets, possibly heralding a full-fledged
adoption of the iPod line as a complement to its own flash player and music store. If nothing else, it is a sign
of the iPod's complete transition to a commodity, branded product
first, and a technological nerd gadget second. Whatever you think of
Wal-Mart—whether devilish idol of all that is unholy about
capitalism or just the multi-headed sentient cancer spurting forth
from a humming black obelisk in the heart of Arkansas—there's no
denying they move a lot of product.

called Super shuffle at this week's CeBit trade show in Hannover,
Germany. From the front, the device is physically identical to Apple's

and a voice recorder.

Good morning, job seekers. Who here thinks the iPod shuffle's
end cap is just begging to be lost? Why not invest in something a bit
more practical, like this aluminum end cap with clip from Tunewear. It
may only be a minute difference, but having your shuffle clipped to
your jacket or bag sounds a lot better than just letting it dangle on
a lanyard or sit in your pocket. And while Tunewear has only announced
the clip in Japan, they do sell their products here, so I expect we'll
see it soon enough. Since it's aluminum, you can pretend your little
flash player is a PowerPod shuffle, too.
