The number of new cell phones being launched at last week's CTIA Wireless 2005 show was down this year, possibly because a lot of vendors chose to debut their phones at last month's 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France, or at the CeBIT show in Hannover, Germany, which also took place last week. This is one possible reason why next year's CTIA Wireless show will be held in early April instead of mid-March, just to give the industry some breathing room.
