http://www.yale.edu/swahili/ < br />
The Internet Living Swahili Dictionary is a collaborative work by people all over the world. Together they are working to establish new dictionaries of the Swahili language - Kiswahili - both within Swahili and between Swahili and English. They are preparing print-based dictionaries and multi-media Swahili learning applications, all accessible to you through this home page. They invite you to become a contributing editor - help refine our lexicon by using our unique Edi t Engine. Swahili is the most widely spoken African language, with more than 50 million speakers in East Africa and Central Africa, particularly in Tanzania (including Zanzibar) and Kenya. They suggest that firs t-time visitors to the Kamusi Project take a few minutes to read through their page of Freq uently Asked Questions. This has been added to Reference Resources Subject Tracer&trade Information Blog.

Living with HIV 07/06/2004 11:34 AM
In My Place. Brent posted a link on his blog today to an "ongoing, unfinished series of journal entries [he's been writing] since testing positive for hiv last year". I'm taking the entries one at a time, as they're poignant... so I've not yet read through them all. It's a brave thing... brave and beautiful. God speed Brent, and I hope that your sharing will touch the hearts of those who suffer alone.

However, it sounds like some people are creating specific spyware designed to do very specific espionage. The article discusses a piece of spyware that appears to have been targeted at a specific company, looking around their network and then shooting corporate documents out, perhaps to use as blackmail later on. It appears some folks are taking "spyware" to the next level.

Though he’s recorded a solo CD and read nationally and internationally, Daáood had never seen fit to collect his material in a book. Until now. “I never liked the idea of poetry sitting on a shelf somewhere, lost in all those book spines”.

Anti-Virus Firms Fearing A Lack Of High
Profile Viruses -- Pump Up Low Profile O
03/29/2005 02:05 PM
Six years after the famous "Melissa" mass mailing viruses, some started to say that mass mailing viruses were on the decline. Of course, for the publicity departments of anti-virus firms, that's bad news. They need some sort of virus scare every other day or so to prop up sales. So, wouldn't you know it, just as we're told that mass mailing viruses are on the decline, Symantec comes out with a screaming warning about some new mass mailing virus. Of course, when you look at the details, even they admit that it's a "low" or "moderate" threat. However, that's never stopped the company from ringing the fear bell to try to drum up some extra sales.

Instant802 offers manufacturers mass-profile possibility for access points: Instant802 makes the software for service providers and manufacturers that runs their APs. For instance, the Gateway AP series that I have praised in the past uses Instant802 firmware. They've released an Enterprise Managed AP (EMAP) platform which allows many APs to be configured as if they were a single AP. This is a fascinating way to sidestep large-scale management through a cluster profile, because the platform handles load balancing, beacon assignment (up to four SSID names per AP), and channel selection. Call it a plug-and-play enterprise solution....

Ages ago (well it seems that way), I went to Tufts University outside Boston, MA. More recently, the school interviewed me about Blogger, Pyra, and my web life. The interview in online here, A Web Of Innovation. I look a little stern in the pictures, perhaps because -- while it looks nice and sunny outside -- it was actually quite cold and I was freezing. And since I'm not a famous model, there was no truck with hot chocolate or an assistant with a big warm coat waiting for me off camera.
