My dad, a high-school math teacher,
loved the Texas
Instruments graphing calculators as an instructional tool. Nevermind
the early IR hacks that let students beam test-answers back and forth
during exams, the important thing was how much you could learn by
having ready access to a graphing calculator while doing quadratics
and the like.
Of course, those TI calculators were a little on the slow side. The
intarweb comes to the rescue: with just a little overclocking know
how, you can bring the older machines up to a blazing 12MHz and the
top-line beasties all the way up to 20MHz!
Curently, the TI-81, TI-82, TI-83, TI-85, TI-86, TI-89, TI-92,a nd
TI-92 Plus can be accelerated. The 81, 85 and 86 can be accelerated to
approximately 2-3x their normal speed, about 18 MHz. The TI-82 and
TI-83 can also be accelerated to about 1.5-2x normal speed. They only
about double their speed to around 12 MHz. The TI-89 and 92 can be
accelerated to around 20 MHz!

to its award-winning line of data analysis, charting and graphing
applications for professional publishing, market, and scientific
research for Mac and Windows.
DeltaGraph 5.6 for Windows introduces seven additional chart types
bringing the number of predefined charts and graphs to 89. In
addition, Red Rock Software has improved DeltaGraph 5.6 for Mac and
DeltaGraph 5.6 for Windows with more than 30 enhancements ranging from
improved interoperability between the two versions to more accurate
rendering of drawing and TrueType fonts in EPS exports.
Specific to DeltaGraph 5.6 for Mac, the newest release integrates more
efficiently with the Windows version by providing the ability to open
a DeltaGraph 5.6 Windows file on the Mac version. Copy-paste and
drag-drop behaviors have also been improved. Now, when users copy any
drawn element from a drawing canvas and paste it back into any

On-Target Reports
4.0 Professional, which can create reports from FrontBase, mySQL,
Oracle, SQLite, Sybase ASE and other popular databases, as well as
from any ODBC-compliant data source. This upgrade, which is free for
anyone who bought dbReports 3.x Professional after April 15, adds the
ability to export reports as a PDF file and a new graphing engine with
support for all major types of graphs. dbReports 3.x Standard users
who purchased the application after April 15 can upgrade for US$79,
and the full version of On-Target Reports Professional 4.0 is $199.
The software requires Mac OS X v10.3.
