Good discussion this morning on NPR's Weekend Edition about whether The West Wing has improved this season after the departure of creator and genius Adam Sorkin. I think it has. I thought the conclusion of the opening episodes featuring the fabulous John Goodman was strong when it turned out [SPOILER AHEAD] that Josh's fears about Republican abuses were in fact just projections of his own overly-political worldview. The inklings of a legitimate opposition strengthen the show. On the other hand, the melodramatic split between the president and the first lady seems pretty contrived to me. And there was one moment...

From the press release:

The group will pursue a portfolio of topics that include pay for performance search, web search, vertical businesses and platform technologies.

The resources for YL are probably drawn from Overture Labs , which Yahoo bought last year. Gary Flake, who led that group, now leads Yahoo's .

In a related move, Yahoo will also start using its own technology for search.

Eric Muller, UNC law school professor also does a pretty good job ripping up her arguments. According to Gentle Giant Studios, this version was created by Dark Horse Comics for distribution through Borders Books. Along with Chewie, the exclusive set included a clear Yoda and a copy of Dark Horse's Clone Wars #1. Bust-Up fans will definitely want to check with their local Borders for availability.

We've got another update to our Photo Archives today with a new version of Dark Horse Comics' first Clone Wars graphic novel, this time specially-packaged with 2 figures from Gentle Giant Studios' Bust-Ups line. The Yoda figure is the same previously-released figure, but the Copper-Tinted Chewbacca figure is exclusive to this set. Available only at Borders and Waldenbooks stores, this set is a bit confusing, since Chewbacca is not part of the storyline, but this "spirit version" is a piece no completist can do without.
