pmacct is a small set of IPv4/IPv6 accounting and aggregation tools. Aggregation of IP traffic revolves around the concept of primitives (VLAN id, source and destination MAC addresses, IP addresses, networks, AS numbers, ports, ToS field, and IP protocol are supported) that may be employed alone or arbitrarily combined with others to form complex aggregation methods. It supports custom historical breakdown, packet sampling, filtering and tagging, recovery actions, and triggers. Both libpcap (and promiscuous mode if required) and NetFlow v1/v5/v9 are supported.
Changes:
In this release, pre-tagging capabilities have been enhanced, so that captured traffic can be now marked based on NetFlow nexthop/BGP nexthop fields. Packet tagging is now explicit: a new 'tag' keyword has been added to the 'aggregate' directive. The 'pre_tag_filter' directive now accepts 0 (zero) as valid value allowing to split untagged traffic from tagged one. This release also contains first efforts to integrate 'pmacctd' with popular flow-tools using their 'flow-export' and the 'pcap_savefile' directive. Some new routines have replaced the flock() calls to address some issues on Solaris. There are also some minor bugfixes.

It supports custom historical breakdown, packet sampling, filtering and tagging, recovery actions, and triggers. Both libpcap (and promiscuous mode if required) and NetFlow v1/v5/v9 are supported.
Changes:
This release adds support for NetFlow v7/v8. Now incoming flows can be tagged basing on the NetFlow v8 aggregation type field. A serious memory leak located in the routines for handling NetFlow v9 templates has been fixed. Some gcc4 compliance issues have been solved. The source code works on AMD-64 architectures. Engine Type/Engine ID fields were not correctly evaluated when using NetFlow v5 and Pre-Tagging; the issue has been fixed.
