transaction processing and electronic point-of-sale (POS) distribution
solutions, today announced that it has commercially launched its
prepaid application for the VeriFone Omni 3750 terminal. This new
application will enable the electronic distribution of prepaid and
related services through the Omni 3750, which is a payment-processing
terminal currently used for merchant processing of credit and debit
card payments in thousands of locations. Q Comm supports the Omni 3750
terminal with its proprietary backend transaction processing platform.
Once the new Q Comm firmware and POS software are downloaded onto the
terminal, which can occur remotely over a standard phone line, the
terminal can be used immediately to sell any of the prepaid products
in Q Comm’s product library including wireless, long distance, home
dial tone, Internet, MasterCard and more, as well as the postpaid or
