version 2.5 of its
Revolution
Studio and Enterprise programming environments is now available.
Among more than 700 changes, the upgrade adds support for Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) when transmitting data over a network or the
Internet, a new XML-RPC library, improved Unicode support, a new
learning center with a library of sample projects and video- and
PDF-based tools and more. This is a free upgrade for Studio and
Enterprise users who have current update licenses.

release of Phlink v2.1, a new version of its telephony software for
Mac OS X. The new release, with support for key new technologies found
in Mac OS X v10.4, will be released at the same time as 10.4 -- on
April 29, 2005. It's a free update for Phlink 2.x users.

BluePhoneMenu, which adds Caller ID for one or more Bluetooth-equipped cell phones
to your Mac. It alerts you to incoming calls and keeps track of calls
received, listing names, times and which phones received them. It can
also monitor the signal strength and remaining battery power of your
phones, as well as alert you to new voice messages and tell you if
your phones are on silent mode or off the hook. BluePhoneMenu is free
and requires Mac OS X v.10.3 "Panther" or higher and a Bluetooth
adapter or a Bluetooth-enabled Mac.

Worldwide Product Marketing Phil Schiller's keynote address to
attendees of this year's Apple Expo 2004 in Paris, France, but the
company has posted a link to from its
QuickTime home page.
Schiller gave a state of the union address recounting Apple's success
with its iTunes Music Store, its plans for Mac OS X v10.4, codenamed
"Tiger," and offered users the first look at Apple's new iMac G5. The
video is available in QuickTime and MPEG-4.

silicone cases for iPod:
Icewear
4G, which was designed to fit the 4G iPod. The most recent
iteration of the MP3 player is slightly different in size compared to
its predecessor and sports the click wheel found on the iPod mini.
Like its cousins, Icewear 4G features shock absorbing side ribs,
access to the iPod's controls and ports and a belt loop. Tunewear
expects to ship the cases worldwide later in September for US$24.95.
