Griffin is selling a set of snap-on covers for the
iPod's trademark white earbuds called the 'EarJams,' that convert the
headphones into in-ear versions. And although they come with three
different sized plugs and a carrying case, pricing them at $20 seems
like it might just be expensive enough to encourage people to look for
a new set of headphones. I guess Griffin is counting on the cachet of
the white earbuds to carry the day (never mind that you can get a set
of white Sony in-ears for like $40).

iPod, iPod mini
03/31/2005 07:35 PMGriffin Technology Inc. on Thursday announced the release of their
AirClick Remote for iPod and iPod mini, a remote control designed, as
you might have guessed, to work with Apple's iPod and iPod mini. The
AirClick Remote is different from most iPod remote controls because it
works using Radio Frequency (RF) technology instead of infrared, so it
doesn't require a line of sight to the iPod and can operate up to 60
feet away, according to Griffin. It's shipping now for US$39.99.

iPod, iPod mini
08/13/2004 07:17 AMGriffin Technology has introduced
RoadTrip, a 3-in-1 device that provides an FM transmitter, charger and cradle
for all dock-capable iPod and iPod mini MP3 players. The transmitter
broadcasts your music on any FM frequency on your car stereo, with a
backlit display that shows which frequency is in use, while the
charger keeps your iPod's battery at full capacity. The RoadTrip plugs
into any 12-volt outlet or cigarette lighter in your car and its
transmitter unit can be removed and plugged into a USB port on your
computer, enabling music broadcast from it to any nearby FM stereo.
Griffin has left the top of the US$79.99 device open for use with
other iPod accessories, which means RoadTrip isn't compatible with the
1G and 2G iPods that have FireWire ports on top.

Griffin Technology today announced
the iVault aluminum case for the iPod Shuffle.
Griffin, in collaboration with designer Greg Gutierrez, has created an
enclosure that incorporates maximum protection with an elegant design.
Machined entirely out of aluminum, the iVault safely encloses your
iPod Shuffle, while still allowing total access to the control wheel,
audio jack, on switch, USB port, and LED. The front and back halves of
the case are joined together by 4 small screws, so your iPod Shuffle
is guaranteed to be secure. Lightweight yet strong, the iVault and the
iPod Shuffle together weigh less than 1.5 ounces. The iVault is
available in silver, blue, purple and red.
The Griffin iVault is priced at USD$29.99 and it is scheduled to begin
shipping in May of 2005. Pre-orders are being accepted now.

you have access to a CNC milling machine, a lot of spare aluminum and
a keen sense of craftsmanship, your dreams can take you anywhere, or,
at the very least, from a message board to a manufacturer. Available

Amusement of the day: the JL421
Badonkadonk Land Cruiser/Tank. I'm still not sure if it's real or
a joke but it looks like a lot more fun than the stupid Segway human
transporter. The added bonus being that 'badonkadonk' is a slang term
for big booty ala J Lo. It gives a new dimension to, "Dude, that's a
bigass tank!" The product description:
Product Description
The JL421 Badonkadonk is a completely unique, extremely rare land
vehicle and battle tank. Designed with versatility in mind, the Donk
can transport cargo or a crew of five internally or on the roof, and
can be piloted from within the armored shell or from an exposed
standing position through the hatch, thanks to special one-way steel
mesh armor windows and a control stick that pivots up and down to
allow piloting from the standing or seated positions. The interior is
fully carpeted and cozy, with accent lighting and room for up to five
people. A 400 watt premium sound system with PA is mounted to project
sound both into the cabin and outward from behind the windows.
The exterior is a steel shell with a rust patina, and features head
and tail lights, turn signal lights, trim lighting, underbody
lighting, fixed slats protecting the windows, and a unique
industrial-strength rubberized flexible skirt that shields and
protects the wheels to within an inch of the ground, while still
allowing for enough flex to give clearance over bumpy and uneven
terrain. Master power, ignition, all lighting, and stereo features are
controlled from a single switchboard to the left of the driver, again
accessible from either the seated or standing position. Standard drive
is an air-cooled, 6hp Tecumseh gasoline (unleaded only) engine, with
centrifugal clutch, giving the Donk a top speed of 40 mph.
This vehicle is not licensed for use on public roads, and is
intended as a recreational vehicle only. Badonkadonks are produced on
an order-by-order basis, with each one having it's own unique set of
features. With your order is included unlimited consultations with the
designer and manufacturer concerning all relevant options (a
representative from NAO will contact you shortly after your order).
Price does not include shipping and handling.
