Apple said Wednesday that its iTunes Music Store set a new download record of 3.3 million songs in the week since the third-generation store was introduced. 500,000 of those downloads came in the form of free songs from popular commercial artists made available as part of a "Free Song of the Day" promotion to celebrate the store's one-year anniversary. Last week Apple said the iTunes Music Store currently sells 2.7 million songs per week. Subtracting the free songs, this suggests that the store's weekly business may have been slightly more brisk than usual.

On April 7, 2005 Stand By Soft, Ltd. just released Java Date Picker 4.0, a suite of professional date components for Swing. The major improvement of this new version is the possibility to select weeks and days of week.
